Default Joint ventures How payment works

Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, But I only have 6 posts and cannot post in the JV Thread.

I was wondering how payment is sorted out between Joint Venture Partners, What if the other person sells your ebook to his list and keeps all the money and tells you only few got sold and gives you less money.

Is there a script to stop this from happening or is there a legal agreement, if there is an agreement does anyone have an example/sample ?

Thanks

If it's your product, you usually control the sales and give your JV partner their commission (e.g. every month)

so it's really up to you to have the proper tracking in place (e.g. 1ShoppingCart.com will handle all this for you)

if you're selling someone else's product, you have to trust their figures.

Welcome aboard, Feelgoodred; you've come to the right place to ask the right questions.

First of all, I would highly recommend checking out Michael Senoff's Joint Venture material. In fact, I've attached a PDF document for you or anyone else to check out. It includes a "Sample Contract" to use. Please note that this also includes an actual JV interview within this document -- just click on the link to get the audio version or go to: www.hardtofindseminars.com for more awesome Joint Venture ideas.

Second of all, I would also highly recommend that you check out Willie Crawford's Joint Venture material, as well. Just Google him, you'll find him and/or his material. If not, then PM me and I will send you the links.

Trust me, you cannot go wrong with following either of these two Gurus.

Wishing you much success!

JMB

P.S. Please note that I don't have an affiliate link for these folks. Just passing on free and awesome information that EVERYONE should know about, if applicable to them!

I always wonder a little about questions like this.

The bottom line with any joint venture partner is that if you're doing business with someone who's honest, eithical and trustworthy then you're not going to have any serious problems.

If you're doing business with someone who's dishonest then no legal agreement or arrangement is complete protection.

If you're selling digital ebooks (if it's YOUR ebook) then usually it's on your website and you use some kind of script like Rapid Action Profits or the $7 scripts to handle those affiliate payouts and JV partner payouts automatically.

Kindest regards,
Andrew Cavanagh

Don't ever give up control of the money

That was a very expensive lesson I learned many years ago when I first started selling products online. Since then, there are probably half a dozen people I personally trust implicitly enough to to allow them to do it and have on various projects.

Not to suggest that there aren't many completely honest people out there - I know there are, but until you come to know someone on a deeply personal level, it's a risk you've got to consider ever so carefully.

Unfortunately, greed overwhelms people in a way that you would never expect - so take that factor out of it and control it yourself.
