Wordpress experts.. is it possible to mix http & https permalinks?

Hello wordpress experts!

I have a wordpress installation that uses http rather than https (in my permalinks) because it's faster to use http.

However, I have installed the exec-php plugin and I'm creating user login area that should use https.

The question is: how can I set some permalinks (eg: 'login', 'forgotten pwd') to use https?

Obviously I don't want all links to use https, only some of them.

I've installed the latest version of wordpress and can't edit the http part of permalinks in the admin screen.. perhaps there's a plugin for this?

Any ideas?

Not sure if this plugin works with the latest WP: WordPress › Admin SSL WordPress Plugins

Although, since 2.6 WP has a built-in feature to use https in admin and/or login. Read about it in this blog post: SSL and Cookies in WordPress 2.6 Ryan Boren (by one of the WP devs)

Hi Istvan, many thanks for that!

When I activated the plugin it logged me out and now when I try to log back in I get an infinite redirection loop. It's strange because the plugin download page says it works with my version of wordpress 2.85

Anyhow, I'll plug away at it for a bit.. I'm sure there must be a way to get it going as it looks like it might be exactly what I need

Ah ok I got the solution.. you need to have an SSL cert installed on your domain.

If it's not installed yet the plugin will log you out upon activation and go into an infinite url redirect loop when you try to log in.
