Warriors, I need a little help here. I just canceled a bid to get a plugin written. The responders did not understand the requirements so I am turning to everyone here who has developed or outsourced a WP Plugin. I may just write it myself but I do not have a clue as to how to get started in that type of development. So. 1. Are there any Good books (and I mean good books that won't be a waste of money) that shows the process from an accurate and useable perspective? 2. Are there any good websites with tutorials that focus on WP Plugin development? 3. Are there any good Forums whereby members can run ideas past other members? Finally, 4. If anyone knows how to write a plugin and wants to share in the development of this Plugin (that is not currently in existence) then please feel free to PM me your details and I will share the concept. Thanks! |

| Developer Documentation WordPress Codex See the Plugin Development section on the page above - you have there everything you need. |
| In the first half of the year we are supposed to work for the taxman. I think that's a mistake. Help me to get rid of the taxman ASAP - thanks! (You, too, should make less mistakes!) | |

Hi SiteBlaster You could try Wordpress.org's own 'Writing a Plugin' at: Writing a Plugin WordPress Codex |

Thanks guys! i have bookmarke that site and do frequent it. However, I ama visual learner so having a way to wrap my simplistic brain around some projects will probably be good as well. Also a good sharing forum for plugins (unless I missed it on that site). I will revisit it greater detail. |
