Need help in creating a report

Hey guys,

I am creating a website, on which I will be selling a report in the form of a small e-book, so I was wondering what is the usual length of the report, in pages. Also what are the usual prices to have a good response for such reports. And also can anyone please tell me what is the average price-page ratio.

Sincerely,
TheGodfather

That all depends on the niche and the subject.

Sometimes all that is needed is one page, and sometimes it could be a hundred pages.

Also, are you building a list first? Do you have a light version of the report you are giving away? hint hint.

What exactly do you mean by the "light version of the report"?

Lets say the report you want to sell is about "An indepth guide to backlinks" - so the light version could be "How to create your first backlink to your site" or something.

If you have a blog, or what ever, use a lead capture page to offer a free report and wet their appetites. Then hit them up at the end of the free report with your detailed guide, or hit them up later in the AR series.

Jill made a good point. You could have a single page report that has more value than a 37 page report. But I wouldn't price your content on how many pages you have written, it's not about how much you've written but how well you have described the value of what you have written.
