Drop Shipping Questions

I am interested in starting a drop shipping business. Is there anyone here that is running a successful drop shipping business? Where do I find reputable businesses that sell products through drop shipping? I don't want to get scammed. Recently, I was reading a book where the author states he does not know any internet marketers that are getting a good return on investment from selling drop shipping products. I think I would like selling products on an internet site, but I don't want to deal with the shipping. Your thoughts?

    I highly recommend you look into WorldWideBrands - they have a great list of reputable merchants and lots of training materials for new marketers. Dropshipping isn't something I chose to focus on, but when I was looking into it, they were one of the best resources I found.

      You could use wholesalecentral.com (they do require that you have a sales tax license and have tons of stuff including dropshippers) they send out a magazine to your physical address as well.

    We started our whole online experience with an online retail store where we stocked most of our products and did some drop shipping. We were successful with it, but then got the "easy" bug with affiliate marketing and clickbank.
    Long story short, we are back in retail almost exclusively drop shipping. I joined Worldwide brands this time and it is a little expensive, but definately worth it. WWB will save you so much time with not having to look for suppliers on your own and hope they are honest.

    Depending on your level of knowledge, I would recommend buying their package that offers a 19 video tutorial with some other bonuses for about $100 over the basic package. There is a lot of quality information there as well.

      I agree with smisen and moody resources. If you want to start your own dropshipping business, you might wanna check Worldwide Brands since they have reputable merchants and can give you the kind of training you need as a beginner. I'm thinking of starting out with worldwide brands myself, better if you look for worldwide brands review to further see if wwb is for you.

    I'm doing both sides of the drop shipping game.
    I drop ship for other sellers for some of my products. For a couple of my stores I have some products that my supplier will drop ship for me.
    One of my art glass importers drop ships for me for my glass store.

    The success of drop shipping depends on the products you select and your relationship with your supplier.
    There are some products that are not worth having drop shipped.
    For example we have all our tool boxes drop shipped as its not worth having the items sent to us and then forwarding it to the customer.
    Little items or low priced items don't always drop ship well because most drop shippers have an extra charge for each order sent.

    My advice is to explore what products you want to sell and then contact suppliers and ask if they will drop ship. There are a lot of suppliers out there that don't advertise drop shipping services but are willing to do it.

    Personally I visit the trade shows to find suppliers because most of the "services" I've found online or through other services are just expensive middle men and your profit margin will be squat.

    You can google trade shows and get their exhibit list which is quite valuable.
