Taking action with a little experiment, help me decide on which keyword to target

Ok, so after reading lots of stuff on this forums I've decided to run an experiment (for me that is) that should hopefully make me some money as well. I'll write an article and submit it to GoArticles - since it allows affiliate links AND you can place a link right under the title of an article (which should theoretically greatly improve ctr)

Put affiliate link to a clickbank product with 100+ gravity. Then backlink the crap out of that article to get it top ranking and watch sales roll in That's the idea at least. But hey, it seemes to work for other warriors, so why not.

Now the question is of course which keywords to go after. I've already decided on a niche (very desparate) and cb product to push, so I just need to decide on which keyword to make the article about.

So, help me decide. And of course if you have any advice then don't hold them to yourself, share it! All the keyword are 3 words long.

1) 890 daily broad, 118 exact searches. First page has 2 EA articles(#1 and 2) and a buzzle article; top ea article shows 150back links in yahoo's site explorer; 589k without quotes, 340k with.

2) 1k broad, 487 exact; 3m competeing, 350k with quotes; EA article on first page with 1850 backlinks to it (many of which are from russian and chineese sites, if it matters)

3) 1k broad,580 exact; 1.2m competition, 170k in quotes; EA article in the top spot (same article as above) and buzzle article on page 1; Also this keyword has a very, very slight variation with 400 broad searches, which should be easy to rank for as well (same ea article is at the top there too, but buzzle article is gone)

That's it for 3 word keywords with 400+ broad daily searches, looked a lot more when I first started the research, oh well. I guess I already got something out of this post - just looking at this numbers I realize that keyword #3 seems like the best one to go after, most searches and lowest in quotes competition number. Although keyword #1 appears easier to rank for.

So, what do you think? Any advice?
