Default 400 sales page impressions

Hello, I am an affiliate marketer and recently I noticed that I had over 400 sales page impressions but no sales submits, is this normal?
Any help greatly appreciated.
cheers, jean

Well depends on where you got the traffic from and also the product that you are promoting? I.E. Is is targeted traffic?

If its a clickbank product with 400 good targeted visitors, then that is very poor. Try switching vendors

Hope this helps

Yes it is click bank products and the impressions were on maverick money makers.
I used AdWords for my campaigns and that cost me over $400.
Maybe it's just the shape of my website, but If the prospects left my website and ended up on the sales page, then I can assume that my web page done it's job. Would this be a fair assumption?

Sorry, correction; it is Forex enterprise not maverick money makers.

With the amount of people complaining about clickbanks tracking problems I am dubious about using ppc on it. There is another thread posted here from someone who bought through their own link and didn't get credited.

sorry about that "just visiting".
GuerrillaIM: I didn't know that you get credited through your own link, I bought 3 products from myself. I will be sure to check this out. Thanks for that.

pierro, I just had a quick look at the product you mentioned Forex Enterprise and I think there are probably better options out there if you want to promote in the Forex niche - particularly automated trading systems and stuff like that. This product page didn't really give me much idea of what to expect in relation to the product - and the picture of "this guy's" house and car with his web address pasted over it? Gotta be the most laughable fake photo I've ever seen, which destroys his credibility for me.

This page is selling ideas of wealth and such, without ever going into the details of what you can expect in regards to how it would help with your actual trading. I think everyone who trades forex knows it can make them wealthy - they're more interested in how a product will help them identify trading signals, where to enter for a buy/sell, minimize losses and so on... As an occasional forex trader I know that this particular product wouldn't interest me much.

Thanks Brent, I think I will remove forex enterprise from my web page.
I guess I just have to keep trying until I find something good, At the moment I pasted a whole lot of stuff on my website, I've even made offers of a massive rebate.
Maybe I have to start from scratch again. Now there's a thought...

And as for that person in FE, yeh I agree with you, that big cheezy smile on his face in front of someone's house and car, you just got to laugh at that.
Anyway I got suckered into that...you live, you learn.

Don't be discouraged... If you're still interested in that niche here are a couple possibilities:

Forex Rebellion
IvyBot

Also look at the kinds of keywords you're using. Try to avoid broader ones and keep them specific and targeted. Do some more research on your niche if you need ideas. You don't need to be an expert at it, just know and understand the kinds of problems people have in that area so you can use those problems as keywords. That way your traffic will be more targeted and more likely to create sales.

How many products per page would you recommend Brent?

I think 3 is usually a good number, with your 2 products you think visitors will most likely buy at the top. You can always swap products in and out to see which perform better.

With a niche like forex you shouldn't have trouble finding that amount of products, but for some I know are a struggle. I remember once when I was first starting out I was heavily into the pet markets - I wanted a page for cats, dogs, birds, fish, etc. - when it came to finding enough quality products based around horses though it was hard enough to get one! Needless to say I gave up on the idea and it has provided me with laughter ever since...

Thanks again Brent, I just created another Adwords campaign and targeted my forex page, so we'll see how it goes, I will post the results here after the campaign runs out.
Thanks, pierro

Ok, I am not n affiliate for this product nor am I encouraging you to get it, but I have used Affiliate Prophet to help track clickbank ppc campaigns. It costs $97 and maybe someone has a better alternative. It gives a nice feature where it tracks the amount of time each visitor spends on your site. If you split test you can find out if your page is the problem or the end product. BTW, I no longer do clickbank products, as I stopped getting any roi acceptable.
