I just joined in the internet marketing craze cause I heard I could make tons of cash in just a short while. My webiste has been set up (just one) and I was advised to set up a blog and make posts on it which I also did as a means of driving traffic to my website. I had hoped to see thousands of dollars in my clickbank, amazon and google adsense account the next day but lo! I met empty accounts staring back at me. I spent tons of cash setting up the website so I'm beginning to wonder if I am on the right track or not. Please I would need some help. Thanks house |

Wow - sounds like your enthusiasm overcame your need to plan and gain knowledge. Start by reading, learning and gathering, then only shell out cash when you know what you are doing. Harsh lesson we all learn the first time we set-up a new online venture. You need to read as much as you can find about SEO, linkbuilding, traffic generation, conversion, copy writing and article marketing. |

It's easily done. I started off wasting a lot of money on drop shipping which just didnt work out. I learnt from there that you definitely need to take your time and do your homework |

We've all been there, but I don't think there are too many people here who would tell you to give up. There are many success stories on here and lots of help to get you on your way. I was excited when I made $24 on my first day online, thought I was onto something big - then over 6 months passed without anything happening. Fortunately that was a long time ago and things have improved since then - and no doubt if you put the work and research in they will for you too.

A good lesson for first time internet marketers. I believe there's no magic/gimmicks to earn cash easily. On the other hand, it doesn't take a genius to become a successful internet marketer. Just know what you're doing, surround yourself with intelligent same minded people and focus. Of course.. spend wisely. |

It's like the farm girl that runs off to Hollywood with big dreams of becoming a movie star, and finds herself waiting tables and living in the gang ridden streets. LOL Yes, you can "make tons of cash in just a short while" - if you know what you are doing. If you got a site an blog up - YES! you are off to a good start. A lot of people don't even get that far. Get an autoresponder, offer a free guide or ebook, start collecting names on a list who you can market to later. Then work on content and driving some traffic to your site. Track and test what is happening, and keep making refinements to get that first sale. |

Unfortunately, what you need to keep doing is KEEP on going and posting more content (and I can probably tell you that you are not posting the right way with the right effect since it seems like you are wet behind the ears and there's not much reading in your repetoir. Just, if you want to make it, plan on staying in this at least 4-5 years and say maybe 1-3 years of making NO money and struggling. Let's just say that starting an ONLINE business and getting it going is just as difficult as starting an OFFLINE business. Hang in there, you've got a lot of time ahead of you.

The last link in my sig will show you a blog with a signup in the widget. In addition, I have a squeeze page for the sign up at internetmarketingplan.me/strategyplanner This one is new and needs some work - but will give you an idea of how to set up a couple of pages. So, recently I submitted an article, and in the box you are allowed 2 links at the end. So, one goes to the main blog, and the other can go directly to the signup page.

If only it were that easy! One thing you don't want to ignore is email marketing. Set up an autoresponder with some content and start building a list. That is going to help you in the long term more than anything. It takes time, don't give up! |

Welcome . . . and once you get past the B.S. about IM - you are in the right place to start making this a business. Treat it like a joke and a hobby and that is how it will pay you, treat it like a million dollar business you have a shot. 1.Be respectful to the "big guns" here and they will help you 2.don't try to sell anything for a while just learn and look for ways to help others with your knowledge 3.I would suggest you join the war room and cultivate relationships there and look for your niche 4.study like you are a college student so that you value the education that is offered by your peers 5.Make money wisely and offer real value with your products and services that really help people change their lives not just take their money 6. Check out the J.V's just my 2 cents worth - blessings love & light |

![]() Join The War Room (PAID) or check www.thirtydaychallenge.com (FREE... recommended for now) to get you started & for basic marketing training. That's the least I can do. Internet marketing is not something that you can explain in one forum post. And sign up for free newsletters from marketers such as Eben Pagan, Frank Kern, Michael Cheney, Ewen Chia (Google their names). Also these are just a few ways you can drive traffic to your website: - Video marketing (Youtube, dailymotion, metacafe) - Blog commenting - Forum posting on forums related to your niche - Article marketing (Ezinearticles, Goarticles, articledashboard, article city and many more...google 'article directories') - Guestwriting on niche related blogs - Social bookmarking (twitter, facebook etc, socialmarker) - Joint ventures - JV Giveaways - Ad swapping And many more Oh yeah and get an autoresponder such as Aweber. You need to capture e-mails and follow up with your prospects. In order to make them sign up you have to give away a freebie, like a free report or something. Good luck!

We'll you took the first step which is more than most people do. You need to remeber that there is no "get rich quick" business. Like others have said, building an online business takes the same skills and time that building an offline business takes. Try some of the following below to start getting some people to your site. Also, continue to study and learn on traffic generation, SEO, etc. It's going to take you a good year or so before you are really comfortable with everything. 1. Setup A Squeeze page offering the vistors an Orignal Good Quality 5-6 Page Report on a subject related to your main product. Setup an autoresponder throught Aweber or getresponse to deliver them the report and build your list. 2. Post articles in article directories. I like ezinearticles and my articles are about 300-700 words in length and are always focused on the product I am trying to sell. 3. Web Site SEO: Make sure your web site has the right keywords and is optimized for the search engines. 4. Do a joint venture: Find someone in your area and do a JV with your product. By the way, make sure your minisite has great graphics, has a strong sales pitch with no errors, and a good quality ebook. Also, throw in bonuses as people like to think they are gettting things for free. Hope this help. |
