Best Video Format For Squeeze Pages

I am doing my first video squeeze and have been having load time issues with the quicktime format. I am using a webcam from my mac and uploading to the site. However, it seems clunky. For a good autoplay video like the big boys use, what should I be using? Also I have it on a reseller shared account from host gator with a 50000 quota. Squeeze video is 1.5min and sales video is about 9 min. Do I need a better hosting setup as well?

Use FLV + Flowplayer/Longtail Video player for web video delivery. This should bring your movie down to 6mb or so.

Don't worry about Hostgator unless you're planning a huge launch with big affiliates. Regular squeeze pages will hold up fine. Just keep an eye on your bandwidth to avoid "surprise" charges later. Or upgrade now to an unlimited site/traffic plan.

This will allow you to easily connect an amazon S3 account to host the videos, and the player will work for all of your webpages on your host.

You will get a lot more options/things to do with this than the JW player.

I have installed JW in the past to test it. It is a bit more work to use and more expensive.

Convert your MOV to FLV as well.
