I'm torn on the idea of using a sales page in front of a free wordpress membership site. What is the general consensus on this?

If you want to focus the directionality of your visitor to fly down one path on that front page, then that's your answer. If you want visitors to be distracted by stuff and many options when landing on the front page and you would rather them take ONE action, then you have your answer. If you want someone to come to your site and give them ALL sorts of options to choose, then no salesletter. The me thoughts on the matter. |

In general, make things as easy and simple as possible for your visitors. No multiple choices or they will not do anything.Thatīs what I have learned over the years. I recommend getting them on your mailing list and using the list as your sales vehicle. |

I use wordpress "landing pages" & they work great for me. It all depends in what you want your site to do for you. Here is a blank "landing page" I did a few weeks ago. Might help you out. http://greenovni.org/blanktheme.zip |
