Twitter users warned about new phishing attack | InSecurity Complex - CNET News
On Twitter, or any other site, if you get a message that says anything like: Is this you in that video? (with a link), or "I saw you in this picture LOL" or "Oh My God, Is this YOU?" with a link, etc. - do NOT click on the link. The link will take you to a page that looks like a Twitter home page - a perfect replica. It will ask you for your name and password. If you enter them, your account will be taken over by the phisher who will send out tons of phishing emails/messages with your name on them, which will make people hate you. |
