Help converting Photo Story 3 WMV to FLV format?
 

Hey Warriors,

Has anyone successfully converted a photo story 3 wmv file to flv. Every encoder/Converter program I tried to convert the wmv file with says the file type is not supported.

Digging a little deeper into this issue I've read that photo story 3 uses some special codec to create the video. Apparently the wmv file that photo story creates in uses some proprietary Microsoft compression that doesn't seem to be supported by anything.

I was able to successfully upload the video to Youtube. Not sure how sinse as far as I'm aware youtube only accepts flv format.

Even MS Movie Maker won't open the photo story 3 wmv file. I thought I could save the wmv to avi then convert the avi to flv but no dice.

Any help would be appreciated.

If you send it to me, I would be willing to see if I can convert it for you. I have a ton of different converters. One of them must be able to do it. Just PM me for my email if you want to do that.

Have you tried WinFF? That seems to convert every format I have thrown at it

I usually converrt videoTOflash with Video to Flash converter PRO.It's good and easy-to use program.

Total Video Converter is one good software to convert these formats. See it from here:

Papajohn.org has the codec for uploading effortlessly to Youtube and the code is free! I had it but my computer died and here I am with my new one, starting from scratch.
