Content Rotation Script -- BetaTesters needed

I got myself into a jam when I bought a PHP rotation script and it wouldn't install, so I hired someone to install it. He found that parts were missing, coding was sloppy and he couldn't make it work either. So I modified his contract and asked him to make me a PHP script that worked for relatively easily randomly rotated "ad" content (or content generally) on a web page with a single URL. That is, if you advertise (elsewhere) to visit bbllaahhblah.com/bigsale.php you can have varied content for different products in the "bigsale.php" page because the script will (randomly) choose to rotate content of the type and in the place that you choose. (It doesn't have to be just ads, it can be salescopy A, B or C, or graphics A, B, C, D, E, etc. and works within the page you set up.

I need about 15 or 20 people to try this out as evaluators/betatesters to tell me:
A) is it in useable condition now, or does it need
i) better documentation
ii) better installation script
iii) add missing functionality (be reasonable, we don't need it to pick up your dry cleaning and wash the cat)
B) WHAT specifically needs to be clarified in documentation (if anything)
C) what do you think this is "worth"? Is is just a giveaway lead-in to future offers, or a $7 product, or a $49 product?

BTW, the script not only shows the content but also logs which content has been shown and how often.

Please email me at paymaster@winfotech.com to request a copy of the beta version of the script (no charge) and tell me why you should be one of my beta testers.

I don't know enough about PHP to offer much help or support for this script, but the author/coder says he'll support the script anywhere for anyone for $$ (he's not terribly expensive, and this is not just a ploy to get him work, I really want this to be a viable product).

And, yes, you get to keep the script and use it if you want (no resale or redistribution of beta software allowed).

Thanks

Maybe you should tell us why we should beta test your script.

Beta testing isn`t about grabbing a free script.

There are hundreds of free scripts on the net. A lot of time and effort goes into testing and you need to have the knowledge for your testing to be of any use.

Minimum requirements is to have a LAMP setup on your own PC and as mentioned in the previous post - you don`t beta test a script on your hosting account. Problems can become endless if something goes wrong and the least of these is to end up having your account removed. The worst is probably being sued for damages. You could end up defending a lawsuit but not without it costing you a fortune in fees.

Getting to the point. If I know someone or they are known by many
to be worthy of such attention then I might just help that person
but come on. Post 1. I need beta testers?

The other reason I questioned this post was because it doesn`t make sense.
tell me why you should be one of my beta testers
          (In context)
I need your help ... so I ask you for your help .... and when you agree to help me... you must write to me and explain to me why I need to accept your help ?????

Do a search on Google for free scripts and you get 4 Million hits.

So yes .... Please tell me why I should beta test your script?

P.S. Google search for free content rotation script: Results 1 - 10 of about 97,200
( Somewhere in there you might find a free stable script )

I did a google search. Google said: "Results 11 - 12 of 12 for "content rotation script". (0.05 seconds)"
And two of those pointed back to this very thread.

Better reasons to help a fellow warrior than to spend a few hours searching for a free script from among those 12 or especially from 97000 results: This one is "free" (except for the obligation to honorably use it under the terms offered, and a brief note/email saying: "Gee it would help me a lot 'cause I'm just getting started and I would 'owe you one'," )
My real name is in my signature, my real name is all over the internet in thousands of pages, and you can find me again if you are unhappy.

So, take your pick. Use me or don't.
Chances are I'll be thanking you if you do.

    Sincerely,
