Default Video Tutorial Software??

What is a good software for recording video tutorials? I am hearing a lot about (Jing) but it only gives you 5 minutes of recording time!! What kind of tutorial can you do in 5 minutes? Doesn't seem like 5 minutes is very long lol..

If you're on a Mac try screenflow and camtasia is the way to go for PC owners. (camtasia is now offering a mac version as well)

This is a free online one that was brought up a couple of days ago and might be a great way for someone to play who is not yet ready to buy:

ScreenToaster - Online screen recorder. Capture screencasts instantly.

I use Camtasia and recommend it. If you want a freebie, try Camstudio. I've heard it's quite good.

Camtasia is what I use, and before you build a library based on using free software you may want to consider the ramifications of having your legacy videos produced on the cheap.

In other words, once you take the trouble to record and produce the videos all the hard work is done. If you have to go back and redo any of your work once you realize you could have done a lot better job using professional software, cheap takes on a whole new meaning.

So the bottom line is...think long term if you are going to be building a brand or a business using video.
