I'm on 1st and 3rd page on google!!!! Yay!

Hey Warriors,

Here's a little inspiration to the new guys from a newbie.

About two weeks ago I started a website and about 10 days ago I wrote 2 goarticles. One article for the site, and one to make money on its own.

My website which is designed to sell a physical product is ranking as number 10 for a related keyword (but not the one I was targeting). and the goarticle I wrote to also drive traffic to my site is ranking on the third page for the keyword I am actually targeting.

So This morning I go on google analytics, and I see that I got some more visits than usual. and when I looked at the traffic source I noticed that it came from someth8ing other than the usual inurl:mydomain which is usually just me googling it to see if its still indexed. In disbelief I search the keyword and there I was position number 10 (about 15 now, but hey thats cool). Got really excited!

Google still has not found 99% of my backlinks, so I'm working on that and hopefully I'll make my first online money soon!!!

    Congrats, its a great feeling

    Dont worry if the site drops, its common for new sites to rank high at first and then drop off the radar. Just keep building backlinks to get your site back up there.

      Yup - just keep plugging away and don't worry too much over Google's fluctuations. It'll even out and eventually you'll end up #1.

    Thanks for the advice guys. Yeah I'll definitely keep at it until I'm ranking for the keywords I initially researched and start getting substantial traffic. Then I'll see how my model worked out to "rinse and repeat" and move on to try my "master plan." These were my "Plan B"/experiments to prove to myself that it could be done or that I could do it.

    To all newbies reading around the forums, decide on a business model now and START doing it.
