Between 1/1/06 & 6/1/08 I generated and sold about 30,000 debt consolidation leads. These leads are unsolicited (via organic search engine results) and sold to only once (exclusive).
I sold them on an exclusive basis primarily because I did not want to have the reputation associated with lead producers that sell leads multiple times. I also did not want those folks that filled out a form on my site to get flooded with calls. Since these leads are over a year old, I'm sure that my client will give me the OK to do what I want with them. Leads include phone number and email address. What ethical or legal issues should I consider before selling this large batch of leads or remarketing to them? |
