I had a quick question..
I know that the money is to be made in the email list, so it's better to send your traffic to a landing page instead of redirecting to the product's sales page. My question is this.. on your landing page should you make it PRODUCT specific, or specific to that niche? For example if I'm going to market weight loss with a pill, should I take them to a landing page for that weight loss pill product or just weight loss in general? Also 2nd question, based on the answer for the 1st question should I make known that they'll be taken to the product's checkout or sales page? I was thinking of having them fill out the info for a free ebook or something and then tell them they'll be taken to the products checkout. Is it okay to have them be redirected to clickbank's checkout for that product or do they have to go to that products sales page? Just trying to see how the sales funnel ought to be.. Thanks! |

Some of your question is confusing to me, but in a nutshell, you should direct your targeted traffic to a squeeze page which then sends them to the sales letter after they've opted in.

I Agree with Matt your question seems very confusing. And I would say funnel the traffic through a squeeze page and then to the sales page.
To have good traffic and sales funnel, you need to be able to draw people in as well as have them do what the goal of the page is. For some people the goal is to get information such as email addresses while other people will want visitors to actually complete a sale. Whatever the goal of your sales funnel is, you need to make sure that your plan includes a few simple things. You need to have a webpage that has good content. The content can be anything, and doesn't necessarily have to relate to your product or company as long as it grabs people's attention. To get the best results it helps to have pages link to other pages with more information, and also link to your capture page. |

I'll try to make it clearer. The landing page/squeeze page that I create, should I make it for that particular product that I'm marketing - or a general one for that niche?
If it's for that product, should I word the page so that they sign up to get something for free, or word it to sell that product? OR If it's a general niche page then I would make it so they signup to get something for free? After they signup do you redirect the page to that sales page or is that something you give to them in the email? |

Are you saying it's better to have maybe like a wordpress setup with multiple pages instead of just a squeeze or landing page with an optin form?

What if I wanted it for the short-term goal, based on whatever work I do for creating articles and any other traffic. Would I have an optin list as well that would direct to their sales page or not even bother with a landing page?
Just trying to find the best route to go |

I make my own bait and make it as relevant to the product I am selling as possible . Main niche .... Animal parts Sub niche..... Monkey tails and rabbit ears I don't worry with the main niche . My bait would focus on the sub niche Bait .... The stupid thing I did that almost got me locked up.... Do Not even think about monkey tails and rabbit ears until you learn this one point ... save the attorney fees ... I will give you The Scoop For Free. Redirect to the sales page if it is compelling . If the sales page doesn't make you want to buy .... Make your own and get the checkout code from the producer . I use the default sales page less and less . Send the bait in the first email (immediate) along with a link to the sales page you decide to use . People will disagree with me on this one but I send the emails every day until the series plays out . I also have another product that is related to the original to pitch after this one Send out at least three more emails pre selling the product and offer them a bonus if they send their purchase receipt to you . Make the bonus opt in required and use this new ar form to switch this buyer to a new list .

Clarify your goal - There are several ways to do this What is your end goal? Keep it simple and you will get better results. > Do you want to build a list for future buyers of your articles? (gathering opt ins that you will eventually sell to) > Do you just want to sell an immediate product? (like a package of articles) > Do you want a Website/blog for a lot of your "stuff"? The current trend/philosophy seems to be have a squeeze page that gives them only one thing to "do sign up" - "get an opt in" - so you have contact information. Attract them with something of value related to your niche/offer. Entice them to sign up, Give them a sample of the quality of what you do. Then "build a relationship" before you sell too hard. Offer sample articles, post sample articles, offer an introductory price then do a follow up offer for an additional "deal". You ask if a Squeeze page is necessary for you writing articles - if you are selling something want to sell something - they are most effective Test it out - find out what is the best solution for you. Seek those who also are selling articles - what are they using? Hope this helps a bit

I'm not selling articles, sorry if it came across that way. I meant to say when writing articles (bum marketing) is the squeeze page route the best way when trying to sell for products on plimus, clickbank, etc... I think I have down what to do when building a list for future buyers - but what about selling an immediate product like on one of the sites i mentioned

If I'm understanding your question correctly, I would say your answer really depends on whether you plan on selling more products related to your niche in the future. Of course, you have to also consider how broad your niche is.

Ok I'll lay out in the open what I'm doing , and hopefully i'll have more insight from you all as to what will work best:
I have a question about promoting a squeeze page and trying to sell a product im an affiliate of, not sure which way is best: I'm doing bum marketing and having the traffic go to my landing page (besthealthyliving.info) The product im promoting is panicaway.com from clickbank I havent finished the landing page yet, what do you think I should have on the home page? Would it be that particular product's sales page squeezed into a summary, or offering free tips through my newsletter so they can signup? The goal I want to do is 2 things: get people opted in for my newsletter AND sell the product I'm promoting. Right now after signing up to the newsletter form youll be taken to besthealthyliving.info/confirmation - At this point its just letting them know to confirm their newsletter in the email (should I add product info here that I'm selling or leave it as is?) After they confirm through the email they will be taken to besthealthyliving.info/thank-you - again at this time this will be the last web visit they'll see unless I plan on adding a blog or something like that... should I add more product info here as well)? I'm not sure what page out of those 3 to add a call to action for them to buy the product and also signup for my mailing list. Any suggestions?? |
