How much do you make from your list?

I keep hearing the rule of thumb is that you should make $1 per month per person on your list. Is this accurate?

1. How much do you make per person, per month from your list?
2. How did you build your list? Blog subscriptions, bought something from you, downloaded a free report/product of yours, JV giveaways?
3. How do you make money from your list? Sell your own products, sell re-branded PLR products, promote affiliate offers?

My guess is how much people make from their list varies greatly and also depends on how they built their list and what they try to sell to their list.

Hey David,

Right now i have around 1250 subscribers and i make around $400 a month from it. Is not much, but is better than nothing.
