SiteFlippers? Quick question? NEED to sell fast!

Ok I have a transportation site that sell novelty scooters Ive had the site for a few months ,I ran it on adwords for about a week and made 1 sale for $949. 800 after shipping fees, and $224 I get profit.. The site just reached a PR2 It has 10 articles.Traffic has slowed lately but still gets about 250 uniques a month,with no help from me. Id like to get 5k, I heard of the guy recently that sold a site for 5k on here,Hopefully he will chime in. Id take 4k reasonably but can I get it? please let me know what you guys think.

If the traffic your getting from the serp's are targeted to exactly what you have to offer and you have proof of the sale, you may have a good chance of getting your asking price, maybe even more.

But on the other hand you made that sale using adwords correct?

If so, I don't think you have much of a chance due to the fact that anyone you show the site to can easily build a site around the affiliate product and target your keywords and if you run across a smart buyer he will notice that risk.

He would ask himself who else have you given this info to?

How big is the risk that he just created extra competition for this niche?

I sold a site here on WF for a few thousand a month ago. What you need is a solid track record of earnings stretching back at least a few months. One sale - even a big one - probably won't get you what you're hoping for out of that one. Too risky for the buyer. The one I sold was making a few hundred per month for the past 6-7 months in a row (Adsense). If you're in a hurry, about all you can do is perhaps add in some services post-sale. Like offer to add content and maybe links for a set period of time, or a certain number of each. That will sweeten the deal and might get you closer to your goal. But honestly, PR2 and no long track record of income is probably not gonna get you close to $4K.

ok im thinking about dropping the price to 3k and build backlinks and offer a free domain push,and maybe hosting for two months.
