If you have your own domain, which you should, just use the email from it. You could also use your ISP email. You can then forward it to your gmail/yahoo/msn account.

actually, there are a few other directories that insist on "real" email addresses.

It's a pain, especially because my gmail addresses ARE my "real" addresses -- I hardly use my official (website-related) email addresses because they're not as userfriendly as gmail.

    But if you need them...

You could get hosting somewhere inexpensive (advisable anyway if you plan to start your own site or blog) and create an email address (or as many as you like) there.

Hostgator is a good choice for hosting (I like them a lot) and very suitable for that sort of thing.

So buy yourself a domain name at Godaddy, point it to Hostgator, and then set up an email address (i.e., yourfirstname@yourdomainname.com). That set-up will be useful for all sorts of other thing s as well.

Alternatively, you can ask a friend with webhosting if they'd be willing to create an email address for you that you can access through webmail.

    Hope this helps.

I just register an email at burntmail.com. Registration takes less than a second. The only thing is the email addresses only seem to last about a few months or so until they expect you to pay for continued access.
