Default Do you use multiple personas?

Do any of you use multiple personas when creating different sites? The 'rich jerk' is obviously a persona, and not the person's real name. This approach would allow that person to operate in other areas without whatever baggage comes with the RJ name, potentially creating multiple 'brands'.

Does anyone here do that?

Many people use a 'pen name' when creating their site / ebook. You can create value in the product and always be looking for the ' exit ' package. Make money then move to another project

We have spun off one pen name for a project we did with some partners, thank goodness...because the partnership was very short-lived!

I've been thinking about it, but so far I haven't. Maybe because I couldn't figure out what to do about the author photo legally, and maybe because I simply didn't want to give up getting credit for all my creations ;-)

the farthest I've gone was to use a slightly different version of my name, but then I back-pedalled and went back to using my normal name...

I'm Kevin Riley wherever I go. Although, I do sometimes impersonate a California Golden Bears football player or a Star Trek lieutenant, but only when I want people to buy me drinks.
