Default Can I Re-do My Blog Once It Has Published Posts?

Hi all,

I have a blog that already have some posts published. But after going through a guide that I bought recently, I thought of re-doing this blog.

Does it affect my blog much if I deleted some of these published posts?

Will Google penalize my blog?

I understand I may get crawl errors if I do this. If this does happen, is it bad? How bad?

Otherwise, what should I do? Just leave them alone?

The reason to delete is because I want to change my blog concept from a review site to a content site. Some input please...

Regards

Lydia

If your blog is getting hundreds of visitors a day who are making you money, then I would keep the post names and keywords the same but edit the content.

If your blog gets few visitors and/or makes little money - then bite the bullet and redesign it. Google will soon reindex you.

Check how your visitors arrive to your blog. If they are landing on the pages you plan to delete, it might not be a good idea to remove them. In that case, see if you can keep them in your new design (even if not linked) or at least the content.

If you want to change your blog, just do it. In all cases, always make sure you have an up-to-date sitemap of your site available for the search engines. That will help re-index your new set up and minimize 'disturbance' when crawling.
