We Need To Take A Hard Line Stand Against Twitter Spammers

I'll make this short and to the point.

Each day, go into your Twitter account and check @yourtwittername

These are people who send tweets personally directed to you.

You will find some that send tweets to a number of people, including
you in that tweet simply spamming some link.

Block each person who does this. You will find most of these people aren't
even following you, or you them. They are just spamming you. Also, report
them to Twitter for spamming. There is a report spam button for this.

If they get enough reports for these members, I'm sure something will
be done about it.

If somebody who you ARE following does this as well, block them and unfollow
them as well, along with reporting them.

If more people do this, maybe Twitter spammers will get the message that
we're not going to tolerate this crap. It's one thing to send a general
tweet with your crap, but when you start getting personal, that's where
I draw the line and I think we should all do the same.

It only takes me about 2 minutes each day to perform this task.

It's about time we let these spammers know that we're not going to take
this crap anymore.

It won't stop unless WE make it stop.
