Default The Power of Keyword Rich Domains w/o Content :)

I think after you take a look at this you'll be on board for .com, .org, and .net exact match keyword domains, if you're not already.

I started buying domains ahead of time before my writers finish the content and host them, and just put up a privacy policy, contact, and pretty much blank home page with the keyword in the title while I'm waiting for my content.

Here's an Adsense/Amazon site that I put up with no content on it except what I put above:

Futon Lounger (futonlounger.net)

If you type that into Google you'll notice I'm #8 for "Futon Lounger" out of 6,390 competing websites when you search in quotes, about 12 million without quotes.

Now why would Google give a brand new site with pretty much nothing on it such a great rank? I've built no backlinks and put no content on that site other than a one sentence contact page, and a privacy policy duplicate content page taken from JenSense.

I've noticed this happening for quite a few of the sites I did this with two weeks ago.

Anyway, thought I'd share

Cheers,

Scott

Hey Scott nice example

Sounds like some easy rankings for this one eh?

Trying to get ahead by starting young, mind helping a kid out? :D

Yes, my content for that comes in tomorrow, but I might just make that an amazon site since I just broke the terms of service for Adsense if I were to put it up.

I have a couple other futon sites and the clicks are good for this niche . Amazon as well.

Sounds very interesting... Worth some more testing. I have also seen this on one of the google sniper optin videos. I believe it was VintageGuitar.org

Yes, I do sniping, too, but with html and I build backlinks. Maybe I'd be at #1 with Wordpress ... I'll stick with my html, though

Yes Scott, when you have an exact phrase domain it gives you and extra boost amongst competition. Now, I've never experienced having that happen with no real content on the site. Anyways, this also works with having dashes too just incase anybody wants to know!

Just curious, what adsense term of service did you break?

Yes, I'm quite aware, but surprised at the results given no content. It's a nice test to see how much Google actually values exact match domains without variables such as links, LSI content, etc.

Good Q - maybe I'm not, I'll have to read through it again. Just paranoid as it's a major source of the income

it's a typical result.

I had that happen with several similar sites but the rank doesn't last long if there is much competition in the top 10.

Synthesize me, And reboot, I need to start again, I need to make it different

Hey thanks for sharing this Scott,.. well done. It's very encouraging to see and especially considering you're just using html and not WordPress.
I put up a site using similar methods (i.e. CB2/Google Sniper) in the very competitive "dog traing" niche (different keyword phrase) but got sandboxed. However, I continue putting new content in there which now inlcudes more and more Youtube embeds which surely the Big G won't be able to resist for too long?
I'm beginning to really love this keyword rich domain concept and I'm having a lot of fun playing with Market Samurai and finding potential money spinners.
Cheers, Russ
