A Helping Hand for Newbies!

Ok, I have only been on WF for a couple of days now, and by looking around I have seen that many newbies or new entrepreneurs are here looking for answers to indirect questions and getting a ton of responses for the WF members, but still it is an indirect answer to many indirect questions.

So, I decided to leave this open to experience marketers and their helping advice to possibly bring some more direct and related answers to many of the questions posted on the forum.

Here we go.....

If you want to have success online, you must first figure out how you plan on marketing and with what path of techniques do you plan to use. Now that is easier said than done if you don't know what you are looking for. There are many different ways to market online and you will find many different terms and techinques inside each particular path of marketing. (MLM, SEO, Web 2,0, Blogs, etc...)

I would like to leave this open for the WF members to respond and post some good path advice to all the newbies out there.

I believe that you missed a piece.

If you want success, planning how to market is last.

Picking a market is first.

Picking a niche is second

Doing intensive research on the above is third

Picking a business model is fourth

Picking or creating a product or service is fifth

Marketing is last. Once all the initial work is done your work should be more about marketing than anything else.

Also, considered to be optional after marketing and traffic is monetization of your marketing efforts. (this is really last but everybody does not do it).

* Choose what you are going to do - create your own product, promote other peoples product as an affiliate or earn money from adsense or CPA

* Choose one marketing method (Article marketing, Videos etc)

* Work, work, work until you see results.

* Stick to it (don't jump from one thing to other) and never quit (if you don't see reults in a split second)

I agree with Andrew you must extensively research your market place, get a good idea of whats selling and how people are marketing it.

The secret to true success before you even think about a product or niche or anything else is “Total Self Belief “. If you don't have that then you will never succeed at anything you do.

Now I know a lot of Newbies will say they have nothing but “Total Self Belief” but I think you will find that not to to be the case especially when you see the figures for those who give up before they have truly begun.

You need to look deep within yourself and ask yourself do you have what it takes to ride out the stormy seas of starting a new business and the willpower and determination to keep getting back into the boat every time it capsizes.
