Default Best Email & Shopping Cart Combos?

I realize there are TONS of threads on marketers' favorite email solutions, shopping carts, etc... but I wondered if there's a specific thread or direct recommendation that you could give as to which COMBO of services might work best, depending on what you are trying to accomplish with that business.

For instance, I discovered that Ryan Deiss uses what he calls a "Frankenstein" system by combining the use of Aweber, iContact, Infusionsoft, and others in his business, based on what he has confirmed works best for various aspects of his business... like for prospect lists, customer lists, segmented lists, etc.

I'm planning on offering consulting, membership sites, etc. based on my expertise, so I'm just looking for some insight to what combo seems to work the best for you (and others).

I find that Aweber and PayPal work just fine for me personally but another great service is PayDotcom. It really is down to the individual and there personal experiences.

I know some marketers shun PayPal for one reason or another but I find that if you stick within there rules and regulations and you work with them and keep them informed that you can build a great relationship with them.

Up until recently I ran my own business consultancy using PayPal and never had a single problem in the five years I have done so.

Good luck

I used OSCommerce and Aweber. I'd modified OSCommerce to update Aweber subscriptions when the user checked or unchecked the 'Subscribe To Newsletter' checkbox.

I like PayPal. I know a lot of people's eyes are going to roll when I say this but I do like constant contact for my e commerce email marketing.
