I used to use Avast Antivirus it is free and amazing in fact I was so impressed I decided to upgrade to the paid version. But to be honest the free version is good enough for most people and small businesses.

  Try this: ClamXav It's the only free Mac compatible one that I'm aware of, but I haven't looked recently. I know there are a few paid ones. I'll post back if I find them.
