I'm not sure if this is new or not, but I just received an email about a domain I own that is due to expire in December.

The email is from renewal@onlinereminder.org

The domain name [domain name removed] is about to expire 2009-12-22.

If you wish to continue using your domain name please click on the link below.

Click here to renew.
--------> [url removed]

Once the payment has been completed the above mentioned domain name will automatically be renewed and a conformation will be sent.

If you follow the link they are allowing me to renew my .info domain for a year for the small charge of $79.95 USD. haha

I found a thread about them on scam.com forum and it is obviously a scam but I just thought I'd give you guys a heads up just in case you receive a similar email.

    I get snail mail with the same offer .... an outrageous price for someone to renew my domains through them. Straight to the garbage can.

      Yeap never fails, I get those too around the time my domains about to expire. Do they think I would pay them $40 or whatever when all it costs me less than $14 bucks.

        You know I just registered a new domain and
        hosting for a blog I'm building to flip and not
        even an hour after purchasing the hosting I
        got an email just like this.

        I almost clicked the link, but remembered that
        I didn't register that site with that particular
        email address.

        People come up with all kinds of scams
        to make money...

    I also get Snail Mail from a US company offering 1 year renewal at $79.95 what a bargain. lol

    How many people fall for that scam?
