The Magic of Action

Like many marketers, one of the biggest challenges I face from time to time is not taking action.

Oh you know what I mean.

The endless "reading" and "studying" and "product buying."

But little action. And for me, the reasons typically can be traced back to "Internet ADD" and just plain old "fear of failure."

Yet, when I do take action, stuff happens. No surprise there.

But what I've come to believe based on my own experience is something almost magical takes place when I take action.

Now let me say right off the bat that I'm not into woo-woo mystical stuff. I like to think that I'm pretty grounded.

But there is something amazing that happens in my business everytime I take action.

And this is it... regardless of what the action is (blog post, writing an article, whatever) I get new leads.

But the cool thing is the leads come from places TOTALLY unrelated to the specific action I just took.

For instance, just this week, I sat down and hammered out a bunch of articles and started turning them into podcasts. Then that night, before I even submitted the articles, a lead called me wanting to hire me. This was someone I had talked to months ago and felt sure I'd never hear from again.

And yet, here he was calling out of the blue.

And this type of thing has happened to me over and over and over again. In fact, nearly every client I've landed has come almost immediately after I've taken action of some sort - before that specific action is even public yet.

Frankly, I'm not sure why it works that way. Mystical universe? Coincidence? Dumb luck?

I don't care and it doesn't matter.

But I'm firmly convinced that when you take action - regardless what that action is - results follow almost immediately.

Chris, this is a great time for people to hear this again.

Too many folks here keep going in circles and wonder why they are not getting anywhere.

Take action. Look at results. Make adjustments. Take more action.

My grandfather would always say "Luck is when hard work and opportunity come together".

I'm always trying to increase my odds at getting "lucky".

I have nothing to add - not taking action was the reason i did not succeed for a long time.

There are enough systems out there to make money from, they only need to be implemented properly. I was chasing system after system and it began working when I sticked to one and took consistent action.

You have to give yourself a plan of action, schedule and goal.

It is kind of like exercising on that treadmill that you bought last Christmas.
