I just received a notice from EzineArticles that one of my resource box links is not active. When I view the article from the View link in the author's area, both links are alive and well. Maybe my host was down when they checked.
I replied to the email they sent asking them to check the links again. Based on your past experience, is that all I need to do or do I have to resubmit the article for them to look at it again? I'm hoping to avoid resubmitting because it's only my ninth article and I'd rather not wait another 10 days. Thanks, Phil |

I think you've done the right thing.
(How long you might wait for a response is another matter, though). |

Sounds like your host may have been down for a second. I have had this happen and I've re-submitted the article. They seem to approve re-submitted articles faster - at least they used to. I'm not sure if you have any other choice.

Why don't you start using Buzzle.com, Articlesbase or GoArticles? EZA has been pissing a lot of people with their silly rules!!, late article approval and even worse, it'll take a year for them to reply your email. They're looking for paying members ($97 a month)and if you've MONEY, just go ahead!!

Thanks for the replies. After thinking about it more, I think I'll re-submit. Like Alexa and ebizman alluded to, the response to my email could take a while.

From time to time they miss something. They will recheck and change the status for you.

Real live editors will make a mistake now and then . They are just people too.
Resubmit and then take the article and submit it to the other directories also. |

The email to them was your best bet. I'don't know why this would matter to other people whether or not it was EZA or any other directory.
Any other respectable directory would have declined your article too - so don't feel bad, just one of those things, bro. A case of bad timing. Allen |

I'm so tired of people complaining about EZA that I set up this killer WSO:

This happened to me also. Ezines said article had problem - the link was down. I checked and the link was working.
So I wrote them a note and did not hear back Finally I resubmitted the article (WITHOUT CHANGES). Got a message from Ezines said article had problem - the link was down. So I then retyped the exact same URL in ...resubmitted it and it was accepted. About a week later I got a response to my initial message that it appeared I had corrected the issue. It took about 2 weeks to get a response. This happened again last week on another article. Got the message that my link did not work. I checked and yes it was working. So this time instead of just resubmitting or writing to them, I retyped it again and resubmitted and it was accepted. If you just resubmit it without appearing to make changes it will come right back to you, so delete the link, retype the exact same link and send it in. I always check my links when I submit articles and each time I checked the links that they said were not working....they were working. So I think something is not right there. |

Thanks everyone for your advice.
UPDATE:
I'm not sure if it was the mail note, the resubmittal or both, but it's nice when things work out.

I believe the link checker is automated. Your server doesn't even have to be down to generate the error. It just has to be slow enough to not come back before the timer in the link checker expires.
LilBlackDress has the optimum strategy - just re-enter the link and resubmit. I've had to do this and had the approval back in a couple of hours. |
