Default offline Conferences / Workshops

Does anyone have any advice for promoting offline conferences/workshops/seminars? I have heard of some people offering free workshops and using them to promote information products. I also know of some people doing workshops as their main business.

Any tips for this kind of thing, or good places to start?

Thanks!

I think that one of the most effective ways to promote offline conferences/workshops/etc. is to offer them as a high-ticket upsell or a "one time offer" on the back end of an info product that you sell.

Obviously, it should all be related to the niche you're marketing to

But this really allows you to price them as high as possible, and capitalize on showing the offer to someone who has already bought from you.

By the way, it's not all about the money, I believe in delivering to my customers more than what they pay for (just to clarify the previous paragraph )
