This is a hard choice, paydotcom beats clickbank in receiving money more instantly via paypal, but however clickbank pays direct deposit or via cheque. But I usually go with clickbank because it's more secure and reliable and it's the number one best affiliate marketing place on the internet. In terms of if you want quick payments to be sent to you I'd go for paydotcom but If you want a service that will never let you down go for clickbank.

I've always been a fan of Market Leverage and Neverblue. Great networks.

I use jvmanger and Delavo.

I have tried clickbank but don't like the restrictions and paydot is cool but not enough security.

I could write a whole thesis on this question. I'm going to answer it in the context re: CB, PDC, and your own aff software even though there are a ton of other networks. Now, CB's strength is clearly it's monstrous affiliate network, automated payment handling, and the ability to make it really easy to promote your product. I'm not fond of the technology it's built on, but I hear they are working on it.

PDC is a little better if you have a physical product and you can also, theoretically, get paid faster because it's all handled through Paypal. I've had one test account with them since their inception and quite frankly have been very disappointed with their support and their site going down from time to time. Sure, sometimes it's Paypal's fault and not theirs, but when compared to my non-PDC sites there's really no comparison with the down time. Their customer support has been consistently subpar in my experience. Then again, I can say the same thing about CB.

If you're great at recruiting JV partners and affiliates or have a commissioned sales person working for you to do it for you, then having your own affiliate software is the way to go. You have a lot more control over a lot of aspects in your ability to give affiliates what they want/ need to promote your stuff better. There are tons out there such as BFM, Launch Formula Marketing, JV Manager 2 (forgot its other name), AssocTrack, Direct Track, services like E-Junkie, 1Shopping Cart, Nanacast, etc.

This barely touches the surface, but hope it gives you some insight.

Apparently Clickbank has been having issues with properly paying affiliates.

While it won't necessarily affect the vendors, if enough affiliates give up on Clickbank the vendor will lose money as well.

In all that you do, know your True INTENT...

Clickbank is the best, especially if you are going to be actively trying to grow your number of affiliates (as people are more like to promote your product if they already use clickbank as clickbank will make sure they get paid).

You might also try E-Junkies, its just like $5 per month, no fees.
