when is the best time to leave your job??

This is different for everyone. If you are using paid traffic, it can be difficult because you will run into cash flow problems unless you can negotiate better pay schedules.

Just focus on one strategy and be very persistent. Only the most persistent marketers make it in the long run.

If it is not your nature to focus on one big thing, then don't.

There is a book titled something like "Make a living without a job". The author writes about developing a number of "profit centers". This may work for you.

Make a list of your income sources. Right now it may just be your J.O.B.- that's fine. Try and add to the list with an online business. If you don't know where to start, how about listing stuff you own and are willing to part with on ebay. This one profit center will not get you rich, but you also don't have to focus on it much.

Try to get five or more profit centers going- online or off. List them in order of importance. Keep looking to add new profit centers if you think that they have more potential than the ones on your list already.

Once you have a diversified stream of income that more than meets your basic needs, consider dropping the profit center that is the lowest priority.

When your J.O.B. becomes the lowest priority, then you can think about leaving it.

For me it happened twice: first in 1979... and after 4 years in another country working in a delightful job, I again quit in 1988.

My experience shows that the best time to quit is when you are at your creative best.

I teach internet marketing, and I have noticed that being creative in the face of needing to generate income or you get evicted is not a suitable state of mind for most people, and you don't strike me as someone who would hold up in that situation.

Also: while you have to learn: it is hard to earn and learn at the same time.

Two of my students are in this situation and they spend 75 percent of their time ad-swapping, and by the time they are available to learn "real" internet marketing, all their creativity and energy is used up.

I lost my full time job August 21, 2009. I contacted one of the Warriors that offers a coaching program and started making money a couple of weeks after starting the program. Still in the program now and hope to replace my former income within the next month.

Read as many of the WSO that you can, ask questions, determine what skills you currently have that could result in marketable assets. For example, can you write, program software, create graphics, blog, etc.??? This will allow you to begin making money while you learn about other areas that interest you.

To answer your question about when to quit your job, the answer is simple. Quit when you feel ready. Some people are willing to scrape by on ramen noodles, other people wait until they can walk into their boss's office and smack him in the face with a wad of hundreds thicker than a phone book.

I was making slightly less than my day job when I quit, for me it was the stress and frustration that did it. I spent every moment of free time checking my sites' traffic and checking for sales. When I wasn't doing that, I was running through a list of all the things I could be doing to grow my business if I wasn't stuck at an office earning a fraction of what someone else was making off of me.

You know it's time when you are willing to quit the best job you've ever had, in a recession-proof industry, with an awesome boss... Dead in the middle of a recession.

Go forth, stop waffling, and take MASSIVE action. You'll amaze yourself with the results.
