I earn a full time living from Internet marketing, but I majority of the money that I make come from the consulting that I do for my clients

My goal is to help individuals to create wealth by creating multiple streams of income by combining Network Marketing with Internet Marketing www.DonnyGamble.com

Self-employed most of my life - I'm 55 so that's a few years - strictly online since 1996. I run a lot of websites but a good chunk of my revenue comes from providing services to the ecommerce industry.

Multiple revenue streams of residual income is my mantra ;-)

I've seen both sides of the coin and wish to never see people have to go through all the struggle. Now I have a system that works for me, and I'm sticking to it.. expanding etc..

New twists on old fundamental ideas.

Yep, Chris nailed it here, folks.

As much as there is no mystery and that it all comes down to "hard work"... the biggest piece of the puzzle is WHAT you do.

And getting that ever-important first wave of results is essential. It can take months, maybe even a year or two of dedicated trial/error until you "get it".

Whether that's a market that works for you - or a marketing style - it can take time.

Doesn't matter what direction you go, there is a learning curve and a trade-off of some kind. This is why I truly think it's essential to set up QUICK test sites, drive some traffic and see what happens, in a variety of markets at first.

I've had 5 page mini-sites make over 6 figures profit from free organic traffic.

And I've had 500+ page authority sites barely earn 1K a month.

(Same principle goes for opt-in lists, not always the size that matters...)

Bottom Line: It's easy to go "full time" when you've got a WORKABLE combination of market, offers and style.

Finding them is the initial "hard part"...

Stick through, run enough tests, and it's inevitable (which requires focus, effort, time and self-discipline).

Best of luck,

-Chris

P.S. What "works" is usually right in front of you. Choose a market. Look at who's advertising, the main offers, etc. Make a list of what you think are the top 5 sites promoting them.

And then run with something similar yourself. Then do it again. And again. And when you strike a nerve - scale up like a bat out of hell...

Making 6 Figures From Affiliate Marketing is Easier Than You Think. Here's Proof:

Rockefeller, welcome aboard.

It's been a decade since I last received a paycheck, and I'll tell you how I did it.

I started out wanting the Internet to be a source of clients so that I could build a personal book of business and ultimately make partner at the law firm I was working at.

You wouldn't believe how many hours it look to learn how to hand code a table in html. But learning everything - from html to php to marketing principles, led to creating websites, which led to clients and, then ebook sales and recurring membership payments for some sites.

When the partnership offer came I turned it down and started my own firm - and took the clients.

But then I made a very important 'mind shift'. Getting clients from the Internet to an offline business is great, but it still means working. Even if the pay is several hundred an hour - it's still hourly work. No work = no income.

The shift then was setting processes in motion to create ongoing sources of income. Work once and then with little or no future effort to have income come in month after month, year after year.

Everything I do has that as a goal.

The Warrior Forum, and Allen Says, have been invaluable in that regard.

I haven't taken on any new clients in about many years, even though I could "double dip" by doing hourly work on top of the IM income that just rolls in.

My suggestion is to read everything so you get a feel for what is 'real' and what is 'crap.' There's a lot of crap, and a lot of 'gurus' will peddle anything to make a commission, so you have to watch yourself.

Anything by some teenager who 'discovered' some secret, or income claim by some 'new' person no one has apparently ever heard of, is almost always bogus.

Fake scarcity, where something like an eBook could be downloaded a million times but the 'guru' or seller limits purchases, has in my experience almost always proved to be something of little to no value. If a product has value it will get good reviews which lead to more sales over time.

On the other hand, software that can save you time can be very, very valuable.

Anyway, a couple thoughts and good luck.

I quit teaching 20 years ago when I stated selling books, then ebooks. Haven't had a real job since. The secret to success: A hungry dog hunts best.

Most people wait until they have "all their ducks in order" before they quit their day job. That day usually never comes--the ducks keep bobbing and weaving. If you have something to fall back on--you probably will. When your back is against the wall and you have no choice but to succeed--you probably will.

Upon the sands of hesitation lay the bleached bones of those who waited, and while waiting, withered and died.

Full Time Internet Marketer.

Making $5k+ /month and my target is $40k.

I'm actually incorporating a company only for Internet Marketing.
Projects are booming.. is interesting how things happen, after you just change your mindset.

One little tip.. just start doing stuff.. as soon as possible. Most people I see (and I did it too) wait tooo long to start doing Internet Marketing stuff.

Now when you say "these methods" what exactly are we talking about here? There are an awful lot of methods being discussed on this forum.

I make a full-time living online. But about 60% is still basically a j.o.b. That is, I deal with clients and have deadlines and such. At least I don't have to commute!

The extra income that comes in from I.M. is great, particularly when it reaches the passive stage and is just extra dough with no extra work. I experiment with a lot of 'these methods' that I've read about here, and some of them have worked well for me. But there is a lot of work involved with this stuff, and finding the right 'fit' is importent. Some of the stuff I've tried makes money, but doesn't interest me.

my advice: keep reading and start experimenting, but keep your day job for now.

I do and I know many people who do too.

You do have to keep a perspective on the fact that you're probably going to have to develop some skills and experience before you make a full time income if you're starting out.

Many people think making money in internet marketing is like pushing a button and the cash rolls in without work, effort or skill.

It doesn't work that way. This is a real business that takes real skill and effort.

The rewards can be good to amazing depending on how much effort you put in and how intelligently you work.

Kindest regards,
Andrew Cavanagh

I just started working full time for a couple of months now and sometimes its not all its hyped up to be. The hardest thing in IM is to keep on doing what you need to do while staring at your screen seeing no sales.

I think you need to have a certain passion for this type of business, that passion will get you through the rough times and hopefully to the good times.

But if you just stumbled into this thinking this is the easiest way to make money, and you have no interest to learn it, i bet you'll be out of the game in a month

Default Re: Who really makes a full time living from IM?

Not me, that's for sure. Well not yet, anyway.

1 piece of advice - stick to doing just one or two things for a set period of time. If you subscribe to everything and jump on all the 'hot' bandwagons, you will be swamped. I was/am and am desperately trying to focus on as little 'crap' as possible.

Avoid the information overload.

@George M Brown - I hope you having a laugh with that one....(from a fellow sniper mage).
