Don't know how to start a list.

I have bought lots of marketing courses, ebooks etc but I can't seem to find anywhere it tells you how to build a list from scratch even though they talk about building a list.

Please help.

If you do a search (top of this site) for list building you'll see it's a hotly discussed topic covering the numerous ways to build a list.

What type of list are you trying to build?

If you want buyers then you need to create a product, or if you want people who are interested in a niche create a lead magnet for that niche. Set up a squeezepage and drive traffic.

Things you will need / have to learn (or outsource if you have funds).

#1 Domain & hosting
#2 autoresponder such as aweber
#3 Related affiliate offers for your niche so that you get paid for building your list.

List Building is like making a snowball, it starts out small and will then grow exponentially - assuming you're not trying to roll the ball uphill!
