You can do this with free software like Joomla, Drupal, or even Wordpress. What software have you tried already?

If it's a free membership, Wordpress.org is probably the easiest way to go. If you eventually decided to charge, you can use one of the Wordpress membership site plugins. You can find a coder in the 'Warrior Services for Hire' section to help you. |

For this I'd use wordpress.org unless you want to outsource it and have someone create one for you...that would be an option too!

If not I recommend Whishlist member and Wordpress which someone mentioned earlier. It really shouldn't be a complicated project since you are creating a free membership web site. You may have to put it on your own domain though. Im not sure Whishlist member works on Wordpress.com. | |

As other members on the forum have said..do yourself a favor and stick with with WP. No reason to pay for the software.

Ron I am sorry if I did come across that way. I have worked using xsite pro to build my site and I would not have a clue on how to use word press that is the only reason why I am looking for other alternatives that can be used on my site.

NP. I'm just going to speak straight to you trusting that you know I mean no disrespect. This is like a dog chasing his tail. You don't have a clue on how to use anything other than xsite pro but you're asking us for other alternatives. Wordpress is easier to use than xsite pro, IMO. You're not going to find a program that you can use without putting the time in to figure it out. You say that you're willing to pay for a program, but you're not willing to pay someone to install a free program for you. Just seems odd. Good luck to you. |

I really do appreciate you trying to help me Ron. I also clearly understand that you are saying it the way it is and that indicates you are being honest to me. That'ssomething that I would have done to others myself, despite people not wanting to hear the truth. Xsite pro is an easy to use software as minimun coding is required, that's what I started using as a newbie and it has helped in many ways. The alternatives I was referring to was with regards to the alternatives to easymember pro etc. I am surely willing to put the time and effort into learning things. The only reason why I am looking to do the installation myself is so that I can get a hang of things whenever required. |
