I started turning a few plr articles into video articles that I also narrate and wanted to get some opinions on whether you like this style or what improvements could might be made.

Thanks

I like it Gary. Quick and to the point. I can see how you could have a long series of these. I usually prefer the PowerPoint slides versus a video of someone just talking, so your technique works for me.

Perhaps you could snazz it up with a pic here and there. It was a wee bit drab, but not so that I didn't finish it.

    Good luck.

    Hey Gary,

Overall, I think this is a pretty good video. You got all the basics down and it's better than many, many trashy videos I've come across. Since you are asking for feedback, I will provide my input on how I think you could improve the video. Please don't take this the wrong way, it's meant entirely constructively and my taste might not be the same as yours.

    - The narration is well spoken, very clear, easy to understand. That's definitely a strong point. It could be more lively, though. Right now, it has a very professional, almost "cold" stance.

    - It's good that you have a lot of movement on screen, but I think that you aren't really making use of the video format. Since the text on screen is the same as the spoken text, it's just redundant. And since almost everyone can read faster than the narration speaks, they'll already know what is about to be said and that's kind of boring. Either that or they won't pay attention to the text. Use only a few catchwords or images that support, but don't replace the narration.

    - Background: The cloudy background... not my thing. I would go with something a lot less busy. Maybe just plain white and bold lettered catchwords and large images. This captures the attention of the viewers much more effectively than when there is a lot going on, on screen.

    - Story: It's great that you have a story or case study of one particular person in the video! But put a face on it! If the person is fictional, get a stock foto or even a cartoon image. People want to see a face to go along with the story!

    - Brand that baby! Put a watermark with your homepage URL, or a logo or something on there.

    - Ending. Close with a call to action or a kind of "you can do it!" message. Right now, it seems like the video kind of stops in it's tracks all of a sudden.

Okay, that may seem like a lot of criticism, but really, the video is pretty good as it is. Most importantly, you went ahead and made a video, which is more than most people ever get around to.

    Cheers,
    Shane

Thanks Shane. Criticism is what I was after

I did try using different text than what was being spoken, but I found that it was more difficult to follow along because the listener/watcher is trying to process 2 sets of information at once.

I've actually tried a few different backgrounds and thought these were good, but I may go back and revisit that.

    Thanks

    Gary
