Before you start doing anything I think your first action step should be devising a "plan of attack." As you mentioned there are tons of smart people who are very successful here and those people have taken valuable time to post threads to help the newer IMers. Do yourself a favor and just spend a few days searching this forum. I guarantee that if you put your mind to it you will find some specific things that you can start doing. Once you have some specifics figured out, then post a thread asking for help with the specific things you need assistance with. Best of luck, and welcome to the WF. - Tommy Quote:

Do you have a product? If yes or at least an idea for a viable product, research it, create it and sell it. If you have no product, affiliate marketing is easier to get into. Whatever the case: You want to make sure you cover as many angles as you can, meaning research. Find a high searched, low competition niche. Create a website based on your idea with extremely good content monetize the traffic with your product or affiliate products. Grow a list to offer related products and services to. There is a lot more to it than the outline above but I think that covers the basics.

Avoid anything that looks to good to be true! Avoid buying the next "best thing"! As mentioned formulate a plan and stick to it. It's not as easy as some make you think. James |

Something you can do before you even have a product or service to work with: If you've got a general idea of what you're going to be doing, get on twitter, start an account & start following potential customers. Many will follow you back.... Instant audience when you're ready. Todd |

Even if they miracously get a following of any significant number...they're not going to have a clue what to do with that. You still have to know how to promote affiliate offers, or create your own offers, squeeze pages, lead capture, etc. It's just my opinion that a new IMer shouldn't waste time trying to get a huge Twitter following until they know how to properly market to them (a.k.a. not spam them). Just my 2 cents haha ![]() - Tommy

Regarding Twitter, make sure you drip feed your Twitter stream with valuable content related to your niche. I use SocialOomph (formerly know as TweetLater) to schedule my tweets for a week or two at a time. Cheers, Drew |
