Article marketing. Done right, you can get 25-30% of your readers (sometimes more) to click your link at the end of each article. This is some of the highest quality traffic you'll ever get, because the visitors are pre-sold. They've just read through one of your articles, and were impressed enough by what you had to say that they clicked your link to see more.

Combine that traffic with a sales or squeeze page that converts well, and you've hit marketing paydirt.

I just submitted a new article I wrote today to EzineArticles. I have been trying to create more articles this way as I seen from my stats they do get pageviews and clicks! Hopefully I can create a new article at least once per day.

Yes, even one article per day (say, 30 per month) can really start to get high quality visitors flowing to your site. But I would caution you to do it right so you maximize the payoff.

By "do it right" I mean come up with a good keyword list for your niche first. Then use the keyword you're writing an article about in the Title as close to the beginning as possible. Then, keep your reader's attention by giving solid, useful info in the Body of the article. Write it in such a way that it builds to a conclusion that makes them want to take the next step to solve a problem or answer a burning question.

Now, here's the big key, and it's something I see so many article marketers totally getting wrong...

You have to come up with an ending (Author Box, Resource Box, whatever it's called at the article directory you're using) that gives your readers a reason to click your link. DO NOT just tell them your name and some bio info.

Once you've got a reader to stick with you far enough to get to the end, you've got a potential visitor to your site who is pre-sold and ripe for the picking. Capitalize on that by offering something of value and making an explicit call to action (clicking your link).

I recommend havnig 2 links in your Author Box. If you have more than one product, link to both. If you only have one, still use 2 links. And be sure to use the keyword as the anchor text for at least one of those links.

For example, if you sell two ebooks on working from home, put both links in your Author Box. Use the main keyword you wrote the article around as the clickable text in one of your links, and use a related keyword for the other.

If you only sell one ebook, use the main keyword as the clickable text (called anchor text) in the first link, then use your full URL as the second link.

I have more ideas in the free report I'm giving away in my signature below.

Hope that helps! PM me if you need more answers.

Article marketing is hands down the best way to generate quality traffic to your website. Not only is it free but it also converts highly if done properly as Zeus has explained above.
One more thing, try to submit your articles to EZA first and once they are approved (& indexed by big G) then submit them to other article directories as then you will be spared of duplicate content penalty.

Doing good keyword research and ranking highly for relevant keywords is the best way I get traffic for my site! It's ongoing and pretty hands off once you get to the top of the SERPs

Mario - Dr. whats his name tell us that Google clicks were free if you had his secret system? Doesn't look like he is selling that any more, but a dozen others have got free click systems now.

Anyway, what I wanted to ask about is; I have heard this article marketing so many times, and I don’t doubt it is true, but I don’t understand it. What am I going to write about every day. Actually I am not going to write as I write like s*** and no one would want to read it. But maybe if I understood it I could outsource the writing.

I would like some specific ideas so I understand what you are talking about. I went to clickbank and looked in the Money & Employment section and the first item that came up was Commission Blueprint - $109K Per Month With Clickbank about affiliate marketing. So say I wanted to promote this item and need to write articles to get folks to my squeeze page.

Phew, why am I wasting my time here, I just read the headline and he is going to show me how to make $3,600 a day, I should go buy his book and quit spending so much time here. If only I could believe that, but best I don’t as I can’t afford to spend $97 right now. But anyway, back to my question.

So I write about what? The book, affiliate marketing in general, obviously there will need to be a list of things as I need a new article every day. But I am confused about what I need to write about to make this work.

And if this book I chose is not a good subject, I am open to any type of explanation. I just picked that because it came up at the top of the list. Must be selling well with a grav of almost 692. Of course, it is full of “his secrets”, so it has to be good. Sorry, I am just a natural cynic.

Anyway, I hope someone can give me some guidance on this question so I can understand article marketing as it seems to be so important to success on the net. Thanks in advance.

Well, think of article marketing as a summary of the product you are going to promote. SO lets say you want to promote an ebook you just purchased, scan through the table of contents and you'll see lets say 10 chapters each with a headline/subject matter. Each of these represents an article possibility.

You break down what's included in the chapter but don't give exactly what's in the chapter (not word for word anyway). You can describe a technique and what benefits it will provide if used. Now, if its a wordy chapter, you can segment the article to a 3 part series and you have three articles for this particular chapter.

Since you have the product, you can provide more details about the product than someone who is very vague because they just browsed through the sales page...

Hope that helps with generating ideas...

Hi, my favourite is also article marketing. So far I have written 2 articles and posted to more than 20 articles, and my visits have been to about 300, which I am quite happy. I also hope to generate more articles, just that, have not gotten to do it!

Article marketing and social bookmarking are good ways to get traffic. But i still would like to recommend Adwords as a strategy to get visitors even it's maybe expensive. With a good text ads and a secret weapon like GetGoogleAdsFree you can have a successfully ppc campaign when you haven't to pay big bucks. I've tried it and it really works.

Article marketing has been and continues to be an effective way of generating traffic for me and is definitely one of my favorite free methods, because:

    1. It is a method of creating long term, ongoing traffic.
    2. I can focus on laser targeted keywords and traffic.
    3. The one way back links to my websites from my articles give my websites googlejuice in the serp results.

A niche on hub pages has driven some traffic. Takes only about 15 minutes to set up.
