No problems here.
Try installing CCleaner (Click Here to download; There will be a Paypal donation icon on the download screen but it is free to download) on your computer, run it (both cleaner and check for registry errors), and then see if you still are having problems. Also do a virus scan. Just some suggestions. |

Maybe some add-on is making problems? Generally speaking, it is one of most reliable free browser on the market. However, you could check other popular browsers too. IE8! Use it for everything. I've had so many problems with Firefox, it's not funny.
I think there are certain people Firefox "doesn't like" and it screws with them. Most people do great with Firefox, but me? Nope. Strange things happen that never happen to anyone else. I'll spare you the horror stories. |

I have used FF for almost 3 years. Lately it did start acting up, constantly crashing, etc. I used CCleaner and a few other things to get rid of a lot of crap, plus reinstalling Norton. Now it works just fine.

Firefox is good for me, hasn't crashed at all. I'm current with my updates so it seems to be working fine for me. Why not try Safari?

Firefox sucks?
(I agree with Sirago: Blasphemy!) I LOOOOOVE Firefox!!!!! I have tried many other browsers: Google Chrome, Safari, Flock, Sea Monkey, Maxthon and more, plus of course Internet Explorers 6,7 & 8. Firefox leaves them all for dead! When I do need a backup browser I use Opera. Opera has some features that Firefox does not have but for me still does not come close to Firefox! Firefox is #1, Opera #2 for me. As for Internet Explorers 6, 7 & 8 I use them only for testing website designs, otherwise I would like to delete them permanently! To me they are rubbish. Problems with Firerfox could be due to the need for cleaning (close Firefox and run CCleaner), virus or spyware (run anivirus and antispyware scans) corrupted files (uninstall Firefox and reinstall from a fresh download) or problem plugins/addons/extensions (deactivate or uninstall addons one by one and test Firefox until you find the culprit) just too many Firefox addons (uninstall the excess addons) or it could be caused by your computer operating system (I have had problems with Firefox that were actually caused by Vista.) If you can,t fix Firefox I would recommend trying Opera (I have had heaps of problems with Safari, Chrome, Internet Explorers while Flock and Sea Monkey are just too limited compared to Firefox.) I like Opera but I still feel completely lost if I can't use Firefox. Good luck! Wayne. |

1. Firefox
2. Opera 3. Chrome I use all three. Don't touch IE unless I have to test website compatibility, but even that can be done with a firefox plugin. |

I love both Firefox and IE. Both work great for me. I use both for different reasons, including cross-browser compatibility checks for web page/site designs.
My 2 cents... |

I have never had any problems with FireFox. You do have to sometimes unblock some of the pages. The only real problem I have ever had was with the adsense on my sites. I can not see it because it is blocked.

Firefox used to be so reliable up until ver 3.5
Afterwards, nothing but crashes, hiccups and a memory hog! Firefox developers better get their act together or else Firefox will end up like Netscape Navigator. |

diff ppl have diff opinions.
1) i (personally) do not like firefox. thus i don't use it. 2) i don't use IE and many of my friends tell me that it sucks. in fact i do have IE 5or6 installed on my com (and i have no touched it for who knows how long). 3) i tried avant browser, and it reminded me of IE. i uninstalled it because i didn't like the interface. 4) i tried opera. i like the interface. i used opera for a season before uninstalling (becuase certain scripts cant run on it, and it kept crashing) 5) in the words of an average netizen, "GOOGLE CHROME PWNZ!" 6) i'm on windows XP (yes, still on XP after all these years lol) so i have not tried Safari. "kendrickyi likes this statement *thumbsup* lol" anyway to each his/her own. but in my opinion, firefox > IE. |

Firefox is great in my opinion maybe you try and uninstall it and reinstall it to see if that helps.

I use BOTH! YUP!
I find that sometimes one works and the other one doesn't. Example: I bought a software tool that offered both IE and FireFox versions. Well my preferred choice was FireFox. Well, after trying to install it on FireFox (at least 10 times, literally) it wouldn't install. I uninstalled it and re-installed it -- over and over again. Like I said at least 10 - 15 times. So, after days of trying, I had a techie friend who installs software for a living come over to my house to help me out-- thinking it was me -- he said nope, not me, there is a problem with the software. So, I contacted the person that I purchased it from and told him my findings -- the software doesn't work. He got on it right away and sent me a new version, as he agreed that there was a problem, but not anymore, he tried it several times in FireFox and it installed just fine. So, I proceed ,once again, to install the "new and improved" software into FireFox. NOPE! Still not working (again, tried several times). So, I tried to install it onto IE. Well, lo and behold it worked. However, it is imbedded with Adware/Spyware. Now this sucks and I'm pissed, but what am I supposed to do? I need this nifty little tool, but it's also from a fairly known guru too. I think that this is WHY FireFox wouldn't let me install it. So, it appears that FireFox has better security measures than IE. Therefore, based on my personal experiences, what works on one won't work on another browser. Another thing I have a problem is that when I view videos (whether purchased or free), some will work on FireFox and others I have to view through IE. This is really frustrating as sometimes it won't work with either. Anyway, that's my input to this thread. Hope it helps other with their frustrations as: IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S YOUR BROWSER! Cheers, JMB |

That's really odd, I've never had those kinds of problems with FireFox. If you really wanna switch though I've heard great things about Chrome, but haven't tried it myself yet.
