Hey everyone I just finished updating my Nick's Traffic Tricks traffic guide and I am going to start selling it soon. But before I do that I need 10 or so reviewers to read through it and give me some feed back. I must warn you that it's 87 pages and will take more than a few minutes to go though. If you have time to go through 87 pages and wouldn't mind reviewing it, I would really appreciate it. Feel free to PM me or email me nickstraffictricks@gmail.com |

Nick, After following your sig link and seeing all the great information there, I am very curious as to the content of you new guide. I would love to read it and give you a honest testimonial but I do have one question. Will this be new content or are you planning to now sell what you have, so far, given away? |

But I believe that the vast majority of buyers of the ebook will never have heard of my blog. And the ebook gives the content a nice organization and allows the reader to own a copy of the info, to be read at their leisure. The ebook format also makes it easy to print and read a hard copy, which is easier on the eyes when you're going to be spending a long time reading. I plan to sell the ebook for $5-$20. Do you think this is a bad idea? Would you feel ripped off if you purchased an 87 page traffic guide for $5-$20 and later discovered that most of the content was on a blog? Looking for some honest feedback here. | |

I think it would be well worth compiling your blog info for people. Seems like a good idea to me. I know a fair bit about traffic gen if you would like me to take a look at it.

| At the risk of shooting myself in the foot, I also think your blog content is terrific for an e-book. Personally, I have very limited experience with IM and generating traffic so please don’t take my opinions with heavy heart but my first step would be to place most of the blog material behind a paid content plug-in. Creating teasers pointing to the opt-in membership portion of the blog and/or hyperlinks to your e-book sales page would IMHO generate sales . I would think that you have enough content to produce a list building, free newsletter as well. By the way, the first thing I did after visiting your site was to bookmark it. I might feel a bit uneasy if I bought your book and then, by chance, found all the information listed for free, especially if it came from the same author. Again, this is only a noobies thoughts so please don’t listen to me if it in any way differs from proven business models you already have in place. |

| I have seen others do this and I personally don't like it much when people have a blog post with just a fraction of the info and want you to pay for more. I am hesitant to do what I don't appreciate others doing. Perhaps I should rethink this though.

Hey Nick My view is, when people buy a book they do it with the expectation that it has all the relevant info they want, in one place and presented in a systematic and coherent manner. I don't think anybody buys a book online or offline thinking that the content is totally invented first hand and doesn't exist in any form anywhere else on the planet. There may be the odd person that doesn't realise most of the info we see or seek online is available somewhere for free. That person is probably not experienced enough to stumble on your blog anyway. If you advertise the book on your blog (& why not), then they might see some of the elements but then again they probably buy for convenience. For the above reasons, I have no problems buying a book even if the content is strewn over the author's blog. Besides when an author generously shares his info, free, on his blog ... I couldn't possibly fault him for presenting it in a neat package that I can read off-site/blog. I'd be grateful to get the convenient new version of the info. Yes, I know/agree some people have gotten used to getting 'your' time and experience for nothing that they kind of think they have a right to it. Finally, on the rare occasion that someone buys my book and then complains that they can get the same material from my blog, I simply offer them a full refund but will politely tell them using the friendliest possible terms that they ought to give "their way" a try too and see if that is more convenient for them. I think what you're doing is great and good luck with that. I'd be happy to review your book but time is a challenge so I can't promise a reply any sooner than 2 weeks. Good luck Sami |
