I'm really sorry for you... I guess that if something is to good to be true - I probably is.

$6000 without even meeting the guy? Without knowing his background?

Holy smokes!

I wish you the best, at least you have other website's that bring the greens on time.

Ouch, that's lot of dough! The site doesn't look that great, I think it does need a good overhaul before you attempt to buy or direct any more traffic to it.

I don't know if this is what happened but it is a theory.

Suppose this guy who sold you that website really is making that kind of income from Amazon, but not on that particular site? Is there a way to verify that the sales in the account came from that domain name?

If you were making decent money on Amazon in a particular niche you could easily throw up a different website with amazon products for sale and then show someone your amazon account that shows visitors and sales even if it wasn't the sales associated with a specific domain name.

I suspect that is the case here?

Really sounds like you have been scammed here, but I still think you can develop that site and make money from it.

Seems like you hit a bad deal. If you want to continue with the site you need to remodel it from top to bottom. Looking at the screenshot on flippa - why did you change the design to the one you have now?

Anyways, for those considering their first buys - always do more research than you think is needed and trust no one.

The fact that this domain has had 26 owners in a couple of years could have stopped you.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune.

I see that this site was originally registered back in 2003 according to Internet Archive Wayback Machine

and according to compete.com Site Profile for gamerzunderground.com | Compete

it had about 2127 visitors in the month of 07/2009 and on 08/2009 dropped to 166 visitors.

and now it gets nothing.

Damn this guy really did take you big time.

I wouldn't say you got scam, I'd say you didn't educate yourself and do enough research first.

A lot of great advice here on the issues your site has and if that could be the problem. But it definitely sounds like he sent junk traffic to the site to get stats up and used that information to sell it for a good price.
