Day 28
In the newer niche: Live Articles - 7 Views - 535 Clicks - 110 Sales - 2 Newest niche: Live Articles - 2 Views - 123 Clicks - 8 Sales - 0 Slow weekend for me for both niches. Did notice one article has a 64% click thru rate. I'll keep my eye on that one to see if it's the keywords, my bio box, or what. I just counted up all my articles and I am actually right on - 28 days and 28 articles, although 4 of them are pending. Peggy P.S. Way to go Adriana and Tracey! Maybe I should switch to promoting Blog Cash?

TiffanyDow's Article Marketing Challenge Day 0 to Day 30 Results First of all, thanks to Tiffany for a great thread with a chance to win some great prizes. The only goal that I had in mind when I joined this challenge was to commit to submitting at least an average of 1 new article per day. So, here's what I had in the beginning: 9 Live Articles 672 Views 30 Clicks And now, after the 30 days, this is what I have: 33 Live Articles (with 10 still pending) 1320 Views 107 Clicks The unforunate throughout the 30 Days - I made zero sales. Seeing how some people made sales and I had none kind of made me sad. However... The great thing throughout the 30 Days: 1. Achieved my goal of at least 1 article per day 2. Found out which niche I really enjoyed writing about 3. Discovered that there's so much to learn about article marketing 4. Discovered I enjoyed learning despite having so much to learn 5. Found some really useful resources for future articles 6. I am as passionate about internet marketing today as I was on day 1 7. Keeping records really help to gauge how much I've progressed and what I can do to improve 8. Understood that things can only get better from here on out 9. To come full circle, having an achievable goal that stretched me is what helped me grow through these 30 days So, that's my results after the 30 days. I enjoyed every single day that I created articles and am glad that I did so despite the challenges I face on a daily basis to create my articles. What next after this? Next challenge that I'm setting for myself is to learn how to improve my click through rates in my articles. Asher |

Way to go everyone!
I never did get back on track after my week of illness, but that's okay. I feel good with what I did accomplish and I've got some ideas for new AM projects in the near future. I can't believe 30 days is up already! ![]() Wendy |

Even though the 30 days are over, this thing is not done yet. 1. You still have 10 articles pending. 2. The results of your 43 articles is far-reaching, not just here and now. I think we should revisit this contest after another 30 days to see where the articles we wrote NOW are and what they've done for us. This was a great contest, but to really see the results will take some time. Article marketing builds up and multiplies, it's not necessarily a quick, overnight thing. Peggy

Congratulations everyone! I was all over the board myself - I'd post 3-4 articles one day and none for 3-4 more days. I did not achieve consistency. I did make money that I know of - 1 definite sale, but not sure about those I used to promote my other products.
I CAN say that traffic has increased by about 20 a day to BuildMyLens.com since Sept 23rd (right around the time we started this). It had the same effect on my Guide2eBooks.com site (because I began publishing articles for that too) - about 20 a day more unique hits. Sales of that second product have risen by 6 sales this month over previous months so I suspect the articles have had an impact. I'll be looking through everything today and tonight and will announce the winner tomorrow! Thanks to everyone for supporting each other. Warriors Do It Best! Tiff

You're right - it's far from over. And you brought up a good idea to revisit this contest after 30 days. I think it's better to have it in another thread because this one's about to burst at the seams. But that will be up to Tiffany to decide. I believe I'll still be doing this in my own Warrior blog and keeping records there. This challenge has been very educational and helpful for me. Asher

Nice work! You probably did something right. Now that you've made sales in it, stick with this niche! Find out what you did right and keep doing it over and over again. Don't try promoting something else until you discover what it is that got you your success in your current one. Success in internet marketing isn't trying to achieve a lot of things at once but finding one thing done right and repeating that process. Asher

I know this challenge was about writing articles and making sales, but I would like to discuss some of the less tangible aspects of article writing.
1. Just because I submitted these articles to EZA doesn't mean they own them. I now have 30 more pieces of real estate I can do whatever I want with. I can post them on my blogs or my websites, send them out to my list, offer them to my affiliates, etc. 2. My credibility as a writer has increased because of the number of articles I've published. As a direct result of writing articles, I've been offered the chance to be a permanent guest writer for 2 high traffic blogs. I've also been asked to be part of the team on a high traffic website to work on a new project with them. 3. By doing research for these articles I have gained a lot of knowledge that will help me: write more articles faster in this niche4. The daily average views for one of my own sites I was writing for, Cookin' Kids, is up 27%. This means more opt-ins, more AdSense, and most likely some sales down the road. 5. My articles have shown up on several legitimate websites. I still get hits from my first articles I wrote over 1 1/2 years ago. And I admit I like to see my articles on REAL websites. I've learned a lot with this 30 day challenge -
Thanks for challenging me Tiff! Peggy |

Peggy, I totally agree with you about having all these articles to use again and again. as a matter of fact, I am planning to continue 30 day challenges of my own form now on, and my next challenge is to create a squidoo lens a day for 30 days. I can take some of the content I wrote for this article challenge, and re-purpose it for lens creation.
I am so thankful I participated! Thanks Tiffany for challenging us. The biggest take away I got form this challenge is that I CAN focus and get things done if I really want to. I am also going to take my 30 articles and create a blog for this site: I'll change the titles a little bit, add/subtract some content in the body of the article, and increase my virtual real estate. It will also further help me climb up in Google for this particular site, which is slowly but surely getting closer to the first page (in MSN is on the first page for every key phrase I checked). I have so many ideas swimming in my head now... and it feels great! |

Congratulations to the folks who completed this challenge.
I am looking forward to having the opportunity of working with the people whom Tiffany deem winners. But just so I don't give the wrong idea. Every single person who participated in this challenge is a winner. You DID benefit from this in one way or another...trust me. Thanks for a very exciting month, Allen Graves |

Submitted my 30th article today. Finally complete the challenge. Here's my stats:
Articles Submitted - 30 Articles Live - 27 Pending - 3 Total Article Views - 18 Total Ezine Publisher - 12 Total URL Clicks - 145 Total Opt-in - 7 Total Sales - 0 While the results are a bit disappointing, at least I manage to complete the challenge as I only joined at the half-way point. Now I shall go figure out what can be done to improve the result! stephen |

Hey guyz, honestly speaking quantity in ezinearticles doesn't matter. It's all about quality. I know when I submitted my first 50 articles, only 5 of them got featured (i.e. most viewed top 15) that's from where I got all the veiws and URL clicks.
At the same time, my friend submitted only 10 articles and 8 of them got featured in the most viewed category. He got double the page views and URL clicks and ofcourse more sales. Let me know how many of you guyz articles got featured in the most viewed articles. |

quality must be subjective then... I've seen heaps of crappy articles make it to most viewed so I think there's more to it then that.

Well it ain't gonna work much longer!
Google is actively seeking out these crap articles and taking care of them. From now on, newly indexed articles will pretty much be articles which are of good quality and provide COMPELLING content to the reader. Respectfully, Allen GRaves |

Just found this thread. I dread article writing. It's not my strong suit at all, and I have never had great results. I think I'm going to start from the begining of this challenge myself and see it through.

The easiest way to do it is to just sit down and write like you like talk and before you know it you have knocked out 10,20,30 articles

Are you guys born writers? Everyone talks about how writing articles are easy. I think I fairly articulate and have decent command of the English language, however I feel like it would be difficult to write one article every day.

@trafficguru, @freezycool
Well, the challenge is over but there's no one stopping you from setting the goal for your own self! The benefits from having this challenge is amazing. I'm not a "born writer"... in fact, I've never written articles for traffic before! I only started this year in August. All it takes is just the willing to do it and make the mistakes - but learning how to improve from there. Asher |

I'm jumping in a little late, but love the idea! I've gotten a ton of free targeted traffic this way in more than one niche.
Good luck everyone! And I love the title to article #21 w/ the Giant Squids! Very creative! |
