Hi Tiffany

Yes, I need a really good kick up the a*se with my EZA subs!

I was only thinking just b4 I read this post, that up to 10-15 subs a day is all but "impossible" for me (I have a full time day job - until my IM income matches it) so I'll make every effort to post even just 1 article a day; way better than nothing at all.

I'll likely focus on the motivational, rather than competitive slant, but will see how I go.

I'm replying straight from a quick scan of your post, Tiffany, so will go and have a peep at the whole thread now!

Regards all

Ian

Welcome aboard to everyone who joined up for the challenge AND to the Warrior Forum since I know I sent a few newcomers here this week. Glad to see y'all!

I hope everyone is not overwhelming themselves trying to do 5-15 a day. All it takes is one. Build up a momentum. Rome wasn't built in a day you know

I'm going to try to use my Dragon Naturally Speaking today to see how that goes. I had forgotten I had it after my husband was cleaning and hid my headphones! LOL. And I had been on a roll with it, so I found my headphones and I'll see if it speeds up the process.

Oh! I'm about to write a hamburger related article tip, so check that out in the main forum, too! It'll really help those who struggle with writing.

I'm about to take the kids to school and then I'll do my second article. No news yet on article #1 I submitted.

Okay, my update.

Since I started a day later than most folks, I wrote and submitted two articles this morning. So far I've only submitted them to Ezinearticles, but I may also use isnare's distribution service since I do still have credits.

I also checked out my incoming links to this site, and there are 323 - but 310 of them are on my own sites, so I won't count those. :-) So I'm starting this challenge with 13 official incoming links from other sites, and I will check it again as I go.

Today I'm finishing up the free report that will be given as an opt-in incentive, and loading an autoreponder series for affiliates to use.

I also put together 60 article titles based on keyword research. I'm planning to do 2 articles a day targeting 2 main keyword categories that apply to my niche, but if I get too busy on some days I'll just do one article at a minimum.

Hi Tiff,
I just got back from vacation but I'm throwing my hat into the ring. I planned to do some article marketing for my new ebook and this will work nicely.

So even though I've only had 4 1/2 hours of sleep, I'm going to write a couple of articles today to "catch up" with everyone.

Good morning all. Well, article #2 is in and waiting.
Title: Three Fat Loss Habits We Can Learn From Olympic Athletes to Get in Shape Fast

To Tiffany and others more expereinced in article marketing: what are your thoughts on alternate author names. For example, I have my own name, Cheryl Hines for my Internet Marketing brand. But I don't necessarily want my real name associated with my other niches like the one I am focusing on for this project. I have already chosen an alias for this and wonder how far to take the bio and then how do I choose a photo of ME that is at least two different authors on Ezine Articles. Awkward? help please...

Doesn't have to be you - istockphoto.com would make a great pen pic.

Honestly, not really. You can't stuff 10 lbs of ham in a 5 lb bag.

If you work 9 to 5, get home at 6, finish dinner at 7 and have a 10:30
bedtime, that essentially gives you 3 hours to do your writing. At best, if
you don't want to burn out, write one article at 7 and another at 9.

But after a long day, this is still a lot of work.

ok I am in - today's goal is to submit 2 articles (1 for yesterday - to catch up) and complete website.

I plan on using this challenge to launch a new site I had started.

Looking forward to reporting results and sales!

Thanks so much Tiffany for this challenge - just what I needed right now.

If you're doing IM part time, take it slow. But you can work weekends and make up for it. Or buy PLR so that you have a springboard for your article and you're just rewriting it in your own words - this goes much faster for some people.

Don't do this with non-PLR, of course - that's plagiarism!

Just submitted article #2 to EZA – “On Squidoo - Everyone Can Make Money.”

In it, I used the cheeseburger method in my other post and did this:

Intro about how everyone can make money online
Point 1 - stay at home moms
Point 2 – retirees
Point 3 – part time or two job workers
Point 4 – internet marketers
Point 5 – hobbyists
Point 6 – kids!
Conclusion – I use my resource box as my conclusion and in it, I promoted both my eBook and lens building service.

It was over 600 words.
Tiff

PS - No word yet on Article #1.

I started mine yesterday... and got 2 articles written! Without even breaking a sweat.

I wrote them as I was walking places and waiting around for stuff, on my BlackBerry. It looks like you're messing round playing BrickBreaker when in fact you're typing articles. It's called Secret Work

1000 words a day x 30 is a HUGE 30,000 a month. 365,000 a year! (but I will probably take a couple of days off for good behaviour)

I am writing articles about squidoo right now, to promote buildmylens.com and the buildmylens affiliate program.

I think I will keep up this article writing plan. I like it a lot..

All I can say is that you guys are great motivation. So far today I have written 3 full articles (one of which was over 1,000 words!), submitted all three, plus did more writing on the e-course and e-book, updated the website, and a few other tasks.

It's only 1:00pm here and I've gotten more done today than I did all last week! Okay maybe not quite that much, but still a lot. :-)

Thanks Hamida, That answers a lot of bitty questions. Just what I was wondering - whether or not you even needed a pic to be considered an expert author. I am still under my 10 articles, too, so I was not sure whether to "graduate to Platinum" you needed a pic, etc.

ok -- I have my 2 articles (one for today and one for yesterday) so caught up.

Blog is on its way. Just getting more products in same niche together. One possibility, but they are going to "get back to me" mm.

My own products on the horizon. Seems like the best way.

Thanks again for this challenge. I love it.

Didn't get an article done today. I unfortunately work up to 90 hour weeks (thankfully at a job I love) and sometimes it just won't be possible. I'll have to make up for it tomorrow!

Day 2 Update

I'm participating in this challenge x2. Once for an existing site in an existing niche that I've been really wanting to pump up the traffic to. And secondly for a new product so I can really see the effects of this from scratch. I'm also trying to get an article or two ahead so that I'll be covered in case I don't end up having time on one day.

Articles submitted: 4 (2 in each niche)
Articles approved: 0
Views: n/a
Clicks: n/a

Also, I do have one very serious impending problem. I don't have a platinum account yet. I only have about 12 article submissions left until I run out, and I'm afraid that it will take them a couple days to upgrade me. That means I won't be able to submit my articles.

Ok it's 4:08 am (eastern time) and I just finished writing and posting 10 articles in the exercise equipment niche for one of my CJ affilate websites.

Had a busy day but wanted to get on track... so I am staying strong with my 5 articles per day commitment.

I don't do this full time. So I limit myself to one article a day. When I'm very motivated, I'll try for two or probably three articles a day. For the past three days, I have been writing and submitting articles to EA.

I'm a free member and I'm not yet on the platinum list. So it seems I cannot have more than 3 articles in the pending status. That's what it said. I'm thinking of starting another account to write articles till I can write one in my old account.

My three articles have been in weight loss niche. I will update with the number of views once my article gets accepted.

Well, I didn't get any of my 5 in today because I was kind of unexpectedly busy outside of the house. However, tomorrow is my "day off", so I hope to catch up then.

I did want to report in though, because two of my EZA articles were approved today! These were ones that I put in on Saturday.

article 1: 90 views/6 URL clicks
article 2: 18 views/1 URL click

The URL goes to a Squidoo lens, which then directs them to the product. From the Squidoo lens, I got 3 clickthroughs to the product. No sales, yet.

Hope everyone's articles are approved soon!

Love,
Shannon

I just wanted to say I'm in! I meant to post yesterday. This is such a brilliant idea and I have got several articles saved in my drafts folder and I'm finally getting around to post them!

Opened a brand new Ezine Articles account for the purposes of this experiment, so it will take a while for my articles to be out there, but will be sure to report back here on a regular basis.

it's quite exciting and planning to have a mass article writing session on the weekend! Two already up and ready and waiting to be approved. Look out for these:

Okay, 2 more articles submitted this morning, that's 4 total so far. None approved yet.

By the way, I got an email from isnare this morning saying that one of my articles was approved, but I couldn't remember submitting anything to them recently. I dug back through my files and saw that I submitted that article in JANUARY!!!! Nine months turnaround time for approval. Think about THAT the next time you want to complain about EZA taking a few days or a week. LOL :-)

Just submitted my third article. I skipped down in my list and did one titled, "Squidoo Marketing Mistakes You Should Avoid," with Squidoo marketing being my keyword phrase. I took time and based it on 5 mistakes, so it was longer than the others (almost 900 words).

One thing I love about EZA is how they do the resource box. It doesn't look separate - it flows as if it's part of the bottom of the article.

Still nothing even on the second bar, but after reading Wendy's January comment above, I'll zip my lip about that! LOL

I can't wait to see some stats as these babies get approved!

Something just occurred to me Tiffany, I hope we're not making the approval times longer because of all these new articles we're submitting! LOL I can see it now, "Due to some overzealous Warriors, your article should be approved sometime within the next 9 months..." :-O

Well, #3 is in and pending. I am still under my 10 too, so I may have to wait too to get the next articles in. I'll try though.

What do you think... I may head over to Articles Base and Buzzle, too, and others just to get it out there. Mark Mason has a list of the top 36 ezine directories list. These two are #2 and #3 on his list

Hrmm, I've updated from Day 0 to Day 3 so far.

A little suggestion that anyone might want to take -
use the blog function that we have in the Warrior Forums.

I created a new category called 30 Day Challenge and
am posting all my records in it. The great thing about it
is that... well, it's a blog. So it has all the blog functions.

It makes it easier for Tiffany to look through all the info.

My $0.02

Asher, that is a great idea. I hadn't set up my blog yet because I didn't know what to do with it but it's perfect for tracking and recording results. I just set mine up and posted the beginning stats.

I'll probably still post in the thread though because it's easier to follow along with everyone.

Third article posted. I'm hoping the first article gets approved tomorrow...it's down to the last bar on the progress chart.

Day 3

Wrote another article. 3 days in and I'm on schedule with a buffer of one extra article.

None of the articles are approved yet but I'm thinking (hoping) the first two should be tomorrow.

Just to say I'm in and cooking on gas.

Some great content sitting at EA awaiting approval

I will post by the end of the month.

By the way I am getting 30 - 50% clickthrough at present. What have I done??

The Memoirs Of Edward Rochester - Just imagine if Jane Eyre had been written by Mr Rochester.
My first full length novel now on Kindle and In Print on Createspace. That's what I call a niche!

Tiffany:

I just saw this today; are you allowing others to join in or will you start another challenge based on the date of others interest?

I'd like to join in.

Thanks for letting me know.
