Default Ideas For TheSuperGiveaway.com

I registered the domain www.TheSuperGiveaway.com in 2007 with the intention of running a new model giveaway with an exclusively created giveaway script. But it didn't workout the way I intended as the software guys I hired didn't do well as expected.

Now I know this domain is best for running a special giveaway. A Super Giveaway...

Can I have some ideas for The Super Giveaway... For Christmas...

Thanks...

Why don't you call it the "Super Giveaway" and give stuff away

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Not sure I get what you're looking for. Ideas on the types of giveaways?

Well, I think that most of the folks here have IM related ebooks, reports, software...have an IM giveaway event.

The "End of the Year Special".

Or, you can turn your site into a portal for other giveaway events.

Get in touch with other giveaway sites and tell them you are setting up central hub site and for them to send you the details of their event so that you can list it in time to be promoted.

Ideas For TheSuperGiveaway.com

hm.. maybe give it away?
(sorry, couldn't resist )

In the first half of the year we are supposed to work for the taxman. I think that's a mistake.
Help me to get rid of the taxman ASAP - thanks! (You, too, should make less mistakes!)

Maybe you could set the site up and give away free gift vouchers and sign up as an affiliate to all the merchants that pay affiliates for signups. Place all their banners on your site and generate money from the signup referrels

Why not set it up with a script that works well for a give away site you can also set a new one up each year around the same time if you like.

GiveAway events certainly are not what they used to be and I think you could use the domain name to bring some "quality" back to the giveaway events. Most in the giveaway are in it for nothing more than those opt-in leads and it does not matter how they get them.

Many (meaning seasoned people) have become bored with the GiveAway Events because the way they are run. It never fails, many setup an event and say "we are going to offer top quality products that I personally reviewed" and the stuff just ends up being the same junk that is given away at 100 other sites.

You want your SuperGiveAway to stand above the rest, not be a follower but a leader. You do this with actual "real" quality and by carefully picking and choosing "real marketers" as contributors.

Requirements:

* Must have a list of no less than 1,000 targeted subs
* Must provide a 100% brand new product created by you only
* Product must be exclusively given away at this event only
* Must get no less than 50 signups in 48 hours or your gift will be removed

And etc... Yeah set the standard high and quality high. Actually do what you say. Do not make promises that you personally hand pick the gifts just for others to find out it is the same junk someone else gave away.

By sticking with higher standards your giveaway event will be a great deal more attractive and thus more successful.

Spencer,
If you know me then you know what my answer is going to be ...lol

Personally I would go with a custom built solution and not those pre-built solutions and I will explain why... I am not saying there is anything wrong with those pre-built solutions but they lack a great deal of functions.

Think about it for a minute here.. You have SuperGiveAway, meaning the Platinum of Giveaways, the Ultimate of Giveaways, the Superior of Giveaways... In other words a "LEADER" and not a follower..

You want to build the site around that thinking also.. You do this by having the best quality and the most advanced system online. As I suggested above with quality, that should be followed but it does not stop there as your quality should be within the site itself also.

With a normal giveaway they say they have all these great products valued at $1,000's of dollars and all these marketers are giving away their products.. Blah Blah ... Big Deal! I am not excited in the very least.

But - SuperGiveAway means products that actually are "valued" at $1,000's of dollars and are brand new (not found anyplace else) and they are being given away by respected and known marketers that actually do provide value. Ok now I am interested but I am not excited just yet.

So you take it to a higher level..

Normal giveaway I join, I login, I download... Ho Hum... I am bored. I got what I wanted and I leave never to return again.

But - SuperGiveAway means I join, I login, I download and then ....... I see some very interesting features

* Join in the chat with the product creator
* Get personal insights from the product creator
* Create my profile to interact with others

And etc .... In other words Social Media just met SuperGiveAway and and they had a blast together and birthed something totally awesome and brand new that keeps me coming back for more..

This is why you go custom ... BE A LEADER!!!!

Now obviously I left out a whole bunch of stuff here but this is a public forum with lurkers waiting for that next million dollar idea..

If you need help with a custom solution let me know..

James

Your contributors send a email to their list, if they do not get 50 signups then they are out the door.. It's that simple.. Be firm and Be strict because you owe it to the members that join to provide a higher quality giveaway event...

If a contributor can not get at least 50 signups in 48 hours then obviously they have a small list and a list that is not very targeted..

Why just Christmas? Think bigger!!

I'm thinking along the same lines as James & Andrew...

With a domain like "thesupergiveaway" people expect something beyond the realm of normal routine giveaways. Make it into a spectacular, cutting edge event.

How about a never ending...but constantly changing giveaway...one that:
  • Runs from month to month....having different themes every month.
  • Contributors can sign on for it's entirety or by monthly segmants
  • Themes can be various niches (weight loss, acne, music, pets...PLR, graphics....etc)
  • Themes can also be various categories ( video, audio, web design, scripts, social marketing.... graphics, PLR...etc)
  • Monthly themed events can be randomly co-sponsored....attracting the experts in various niches
It possibilities really are endless. I'm sure others can contribute thoughts to this....
If your going to make "thesupergiveaway"...it better be unique & it dam well better be super!!

Just a thought...

Ken

If you want a super giveaway for Christmas why not give away a real physical product of great value?

If the numbers are right (ie the traffic is very well monetized) and you get the right partners on board you could give away a car - that would be a super giveaway!

The big product launches have great prizes for the super affiliates because it motivates them to keep re-emailing their lists.

Most IM Giveaways are full of junk and the products are getting worse.

However, most offline companies are used to giving away prizes, free samples, etc so why not try and merge the two?

Just my 2c

50 sign ups in 48 hours is too much. Maybe James can do it, but not everyone... I'd assume that people who are able to do that have a hyper responsive list and they won't probably be interested in joining a giveaway.

If you look at some stats in a few giveaways you'll notice that even the top contributor has like 200 points. On an average you get 10 points for a new member recruited in the giveaways. So, that's only 20 members recruited in the whole pre-promotion period let alone 2 days.

If you do wanna hold a high quality giveaway I'd recommend you contact reputed warriors and just ask if they could contribute a gift. That way you have 10-12 good quality gifts and you don't have to care much about stats since all of the gifts would be on the same page.

Just my $0.02.

Sumit.

That is the point, weed out the junk.. Be a Leader and not what everyone else does.. Many and I do mean many of those giveaways are junk.. I should know .. I tested, I joined, I paid for Upgrades...

If I am going to spend my time on a giveaway event then it better be very high quality and I do mean high quality ... Cream Of The Crop that Nobody Else can Match..

Good contributors and good gifts do not cut it ... It must be Platinum Contributors and Platinum Gifts.

You know I am kidding right? Anyway... I don't think a custom script will be a viable solution right now, as it's indeed a headache to start from scratch and build one... I once got in to it for the same, but ended up with nothing.

Need to think about operating the site with an existing script but with an exclusive never before seen giveaway...

Yes I know you was kidding ...lol

If you use existing see if the developer is willing to do some add-ons for a reasonable fee or if you are able to edit it find someone to create the add-ons.. Course there is always an option of bartering, some people do that also.

I just feel it is very important for you to be a Leader and not a follower. There are way to many trashy giveaways that offer nothing because they are just followers.

Will this compete with giveawayoftheday.com ? I love some of the things they give away.

That looks cool, and that too in Wordpress... I do like the idea of giving away a product, in sales, for one day (24 hours) and after the 24 hours are over, the software will be back to the buy mode...

But what software/sripts are required to do that... No idea... Also I don't want to get in ventures that require a Huge Startup Capital.

Just an idea.

What do you think?

Thanks Mark, I do like that idea of helping out those struggling entrepreneurs. Nothing better and satisfying than helping out those in need... Great idea...

Yea I do like the idea... Let's change someone's life for better, before Christmas and add a new meaning to their life...

Doing that can indeed be fitting to the name - The Super Giveaway...

But how do I move forward with it?

Alright I'm too lazy to read all of these posts - but what I would do:

Have users complete a CPA offer along with their email address and then at Christmas you give an iPod or something else (maybe a Nintendo Wii) to a random person that entered.

You can find Freebie Incentive Sites a dime a dozen, nothing new and it does not scream SuperGiveAway ...

How about join for free under certain criteria? He's making money from OTOs anyway and building a list... It's like a no cost technique to implement given you already have hosting and domain.

Yea I agree with you. Just setting up the requirements will do the job.

But I still have to get a giveaway script, so it's not a no-cost technique, unless somebody is willing to privide the script... Let's see...

Hold a random drawing and pay someone's mortgage for 3 months. Monetize the list of non-winners via credit checks, credit repair, personal finance, refinancing, etc. offers. If it's worth while, repeat every 3 months.

No you don't.. You could just put all the gifts on a page and you're ready to go. But, yeah.. You might have to pay a graphics designer so there is little investment requirement.

The graphics is all done already... You can checkout the site. The only thing that's required is giveaway script. It will be unprofessional to do The Super Giveaway simply by putting all the gifts on a page...

Thanks James, Your script looks excellent. No question about the script to use for a Super Giveaway. Undoubtedly, the best existing giveaway script seems to be Download Your Free List Building Report...

So, if I am to ask anything, it's just this... Can I have your script...

I have a script but it was not coded by me and I have not even looked at it in about 5 years.. I think it was built under php 3 though which could be problem for servers now which mainly run php 5+

If someone is willing to install, tweak, and do some coding on it for you, then I will send you the script.. I own master rights as I bought master rights years ago..
