I have decided to remake my landing page that i had previously done bcuz of some remarks made here on it. The problem is that im trying to decide if i should use wordpress or xsitepro.
I used wordpress on the one that im going to redo and i like wordpress but im not very good with coding and i couldnt get the page to look like i wanted it to. i heard that xsite pro was a good website creator if you werent good at html. im okay with html but i dont know any other coding and im hoping i can get the page to look exactly as i want it to look. Can anybody offer any suggestions as to what i should do? i have never worked with xsite pro before so any comments on it will be appreciated and if any body can point me in a direction to where i can learn how to change the look of my wordpress theme i may just stick with wordpress because i do like it a lot. Thank you in advance to anybody with any suggestions or comments

Have you considered outsourcing this? Then you could make better use of your time by concentrating on the marketing side.

Xsitepro is a great way to learn if you are just starting out... I used it with great success. Alternatively you could try dreamweaver however there will be a much greater learning curve as it is far more complicated but does include everything you could possibly ever need for landing page design.

In my opinion, if you're creating the typical minisite with only a fistful of pages on it, using Wordpress makes no sense. Wordpress is great for creating content that's often updates and cross-linked, but for a small website I always go the standard HTML route.

Hi,
If your considering turning you site into a full on website with lots of articles and blog posts then Wordpress is definitely the way to go, its admin area is easy to navigate and Google loves to index the pages. if you just Google word press themes you will be inundated with them, some you pay for but there are loads of good ones for free. |

Hi Tchashow!
I find that I can create Squeeze/Landing pages very quickly and simply using Kompozer - it's free too! It is best not to make a Landing page TOO fancy - it should just contain just ONE clear call to action - which is simply to give you their name and email address because you have a good quality free product to give them. Good Luck! Elaine

Hi
I agree with the squeeze page/landing page needs to look very simple... a great marketer online Ryan Deiss tested his landing pages until they broke ![]() So i took his example landing page and tested it out against other of my own squeeze/landing pages and it out performed all the others many time over... here is the page i use... http://wpamaniche.com/home.php So no video, bullet points, fancy graphics... they just don't work as well!!! And yes use NVU or Kompozer as they are free and very easy to use... the squeeze page above can be up in 15 mins with NVU or Kompozer. Yours isncerely Angelina |
