Based on my educational experience

Gaming sites and Porn seem be the best money makers, but I can't with good mind got that way.

I want to show my wife, kids and friends the quality websites can bring.

My experience shows that in the long run, quality wins out with good strong advertisers, the kind you see on Billboards and Yahoo or Google.

I believe I found the Babylon Affiliate program to pay well and have just been upgraded to start receiving CPD pay for free trial version downloads.

I would stay away from those type of sites as the competition is crazy and impossible to compete, you are better off finding a niche that has less competition and be the number one for that niche and you will make much more money. Thats what i've learned

Anyway good luck with your venture anyway
