I have an website, in the "how to make money online" niche. The site has over 1,000 subscribers. I want to sell this site. What should I do with the subscribers? How do I transfer them as well to the new owner? Right now, the subscribers are on my AWeber account. Should I make another AWeber account and to transfer them there? How much would you ask for such a site, based solely on the number of subscribers? I've never done this, so I'm grateful for any hint you can give me. Thank you, Sergiu FUNIERU |

Yes, the easiest way is to transfer also the Aweber account so you gotta open a new one for yourself. Before selling, try to create another opt-in page on another domain offering something free and mail blast that list so at least on the new Aweber account you will still have a list on that niche.

If it were me, I'd move the subscribers over into a db hosted on the website itself - so there are no third party costs or accounts that need to be transferred. Build in double opt-in, unsubscription functionality and newsletter sending by subscriber demographics (depending upon what info you have on each of them). Then its virtually self-sufficient! |

If I transfer the subscribers, it's not the same as selling them? You know, "I'll never sell your eMail address and such". Sergiu FUNIERU |

2) Re: your bolded question from the OP - The simple info that there are 1,000 subs doesn't mean too much. There are situations when numbers don't matter (5 active members may "produce" a higher income than 5,000 dead email addresses, etc - the examples can continue) | |

Hey, If you are selling a website that has subscribers on it already it you can pass on the subs to the new owner, this is what I have done in the past, I look at subs as an asset of the company, it is ok to pass them on to the new owner, thats the way i look at it anyway ![]() Best of luck |

Anyway, I wouldn't buy such subscribers even if your privacy policy allows it. Very few people read privacy policies and I don't like being reported as spamming someone [this is buyer's problem, not yours]However, if your privacy policy was an usual one or didn't exist ... [you may ignore this detail of course, but it's like ignoring rules, laws, regulations. You make it on your own risk ]
