Is It Time To Build A List?

First of all getresponse is cheaper than aweber and does about the same thing, just pays a bit less in affiliate commissions (which you may or may not care about). At any rate, you really need to build your email list(s).

You don't need to build just one list, with an autoresponder like getresponse or aweber (getresponse is free if you don't mind the ads), you can have several. And the whole point of an autoresponder is that once someone signs up for your e-course/ezine/email-list-with-free-gift, they will automatically get a series of emails that you set up in advance.

What's really cool about this is that you can have several e-courses/ebooks depending on where that traffic came from. And several targeted lists where you can make targeted offers. It's really important to always try to focus on a major subject for each email list...you'll make more sales that way.

Say you wrote an article about SEO and you offered an SEO course to people who respond to that article. They would go to a page on your site (I'm not sure how you do this with blogs, I mostly have web sites plus blogs which gives me the ability to put up squeeze pages about anything I want). Hopefully someone on this thread will know how to do blog squeeze pages. So you could have several or many squeeze pages for any topic you can think of with as many e-courses as you want.

I would not put links to all of these squeeze pages up on your blog though, unless you put each squeeze page link on a relevant page, i.e. info about SEO/blogging/making money online, etc.

One last but important tip, when you send out emails to your lists, you can just put a link in there to your latest relevant blog post, you don't really have to write very much.

Your autoresponder service will keep track of your lists and store your subscribers names and emails, although you should back them up to your computer regularly.
