Default Every newbie wants to ask these questions

I have discovered that every new entrant into the IM biz wants to ask about how to get traffic to their sites and how to make sales, the best traffic methods, how to make the most out of being an affiliate marketer with affiliate networks. Interestingly most of the posts of newbies that I have seen asking about traffic have either been deleted or moved down the page. I would like to recommend that posts that contain information for newbies on how to drive traffic to their sites, traffic generation methods and how to star out as an affiliate or internet marketer should be stickied or made to remain permanently on the first page. This should stop newbies from making posts on how to drive traffic to their sites.

Thanks

NB: However, I am a newbie and I need information on how to drive traffic to my online biz. I have tried to search this forum for posts that answer my question but I have not found any yet. So please house help me out.

Hi and welcome Not to sound rude, but if you can't find info on generating traffic here, then you can't be looking very hard

If you had an extremely specific question, perhaps you might not the an exact answer. You haven't yet posted a specific question, just some general "how do I get traffic?" questions. Those are answered about every 20 minutes in threads here in the main forum.

Traffic is easiest to find when thought of in terms of whom, not how. To whom are you speaking with your message and where are they going online.

Having said that here are all the methods I can possibly think of at the moment to find these people and divert them to your site.

Traffic:
organic SEO
Pay Per Click
Media buys
Joint Ventures
Affiliates
Email List
Article Marketing
Guest blogging
Free Software linked from Download sites
Social Sites - Facebook, Twitter, Myspace, etc.
Web 2.0 - squidoo, wetpaint,
Offline Advertising - billboards, tv, cars, business cards, seminars, joint ventures

Do even a few of those and you'll be a lot better off.

Do this:

Click on "search" in the red toolbar above

Click on "advanced search"

Then enter the word "traffic" as the keyword in box on the left of that form

Click on "main internet marketing discussion" (or all forums)

and you'll find pages of threads about getting traffic

http://www.warriorforum.com/search.php?searchid=2441294

If every useful thread here was "stickied" we'd have to change the name to "WF sticky forum"

Hi kaydee,

As Kay said, It would not be practical to sticky every newbie thread on
the forum.

I have compiled a list of threads here at the WF containing the word
Traffic. I suggest that you bookmark this thread for future use.

Have a Great Day!
Michael

Hmmm yes, definitely need to focus the forum a bit more to build up some traffic threads!

That list of 889 is probably the most comprehensive resource available anywhere! Surfing the web for IM information is a bit of a riptide, until the day you hit this forum.

Lol What a substantial amount of links related to traffic. This is actually a great thread. I have always wondered what was the major questions newbies asked when it came to making money online and it is really not the links that people want it is the initial steps. Sometimes I think pushing them along is the biggest factor. Making money on your own can be a scary thing to do.

I am probably going to be laid off from a job after 10 years so far and have decided to really increase my income by stop thinking part time and thinking fulltime. Traffic-->Hungry Crowd--> Copywriting--> Attractive Offer>Testing> Testing> And so many different ways to make money.

hey Michael thank you for taking time to put up such a useful list of thread, i think it will be a nice refrence point to have when searching for such answers. however i dont know if something is wrong on my side or they are not working, i clicked on 10/20 links and all of them gave a "404 page not found"!
i am not sure if its something on my end or its really not finding the page. any how thanks for the great effort.

Your right the links are broken???

The forum must have truncated part of the links so they won't function.

Here is a pdf version with clickable links to all the threads listed above.

Did you try downloading the ebook or did you just click on the links?

Somebody pointed out that the links were no longer working so I assume this was corrected in the ebook 'version'.

Not to be rude, (I know, too late) but why would anyone quote a massively huge post just a few entries after that massively huge post? It's completely unneeded.

Wasn't going to say anything...but I was thinking the same thing. Probably was done out of "force of habit" as opposed to intentionally....

I agree, The links in the post above are broken because something happened
when I made the post. The forum seems to have truncated part of the links.
It may be because I posted so many links at one time??? not sure???

I've been told the pdf file links work fine.

I'll post a new pdf version tomorrow including the new added links.

Hey Michael,

If you are going to post a new PDF with the links, try posting it as an attachment to the thread instead of posting all the links in one post.

This would be the better way as far as the SEs go, and for all the URLs to work.

Hey Michael,

If you're going to update your PDF keep in mind that some people are downloading the first PDF they come across as they read downward.

It would help to remove duplication (and create confusion) if you edited your original post and replaced the PDF there, rather than post it again.

Look at all this work you've created for yourself!

PS It would be good to have the PDF as a sticky, since it's all to do with Warrior Forum discussions on traffic gaining methods. Maybe a series of helpful stickies based on searches (traffic getting methods, building lists etc).

Just a thought

PPS I agree about the quoting post - prob not done intentionally but it's made this thread very long and hard(er) to read. Some editing wouldn't go amiss.

Hey Michael, thank you. That was was a bit of work to go put the list together.

To others here keep offline methods in mind too - classified in newspapers and magazines, and also direct mail and postcards. There have been some "guru" courses and a WSO or so about using postcards. Like it's some newfangled invention.

Postcards are as old as the hills, and still work. I was using them before the Internet to drive people to a free recorded message. (People don't want to call a live person because they are afraid of being given a sales pitch.) Just use them to drive people to a website.

Yeah, I know, how low tech!

That's the most insightful thing about marketing I've read in a long time.

I'll be chewing over this nugget when it comes to conversion.

Thank you

WOW lots of time on your hands? anyway it's very helpful, though I still think everyone in these topics talks about the same traffic methods we've all heard about a million times

put all those threads into an e-book... free for newbies (I'd get a copy too!)
Just wondering if we are really allowed to do that and give it away

This would be my guess: As long as none of the posts were from the War Room, I don't see why not. Anyone can read posts here in the Warrior Forum without even signing up for a free membership. You could even use it as a referral tool to get more members here. "See what's available in the Warrior Forum."

Actually, now that I think about it, I don't even think a link to a War Room thread would work unless you were signed in.

Its not particularly hard if you just do a little research here in WF. WF is probably the last place you need to find success in your IM business. The information here is more than you need, again information overload.

Just be patient, do your search and resaerch. Keep working hard. Keep looking keep digging.
